so i just got an email from Steve Voorhees in park operations asking me for hours of avaliability for an over the phone interview. anyone have any idea what he would be interested in hireing me as? i applied for two jobs in park operations choice one was ride host an choice two was sweep. also any tips for the interview or possible questions they might ask?
The questions they ask are pretty basic. examples: Do you consider yourself physically fit? Are you afraid of heights? Do you mind working long hours in extreme weather conditions? etc. You will probably be hired as a ride host seeing how you put that as your first choice. Steve is manager of area 3 I believe which is the back of the park. Good luck!
-Name a time when you have taken lead of something
-Name a time when you had to handle an enraged customer/guest and how did you handle it
-What makes you good for the job
-Describe a situation where you had to talk to somebody of upper management about something (could be a manager or professor/teacher) and how you took care of it
There's a few questions you have to prepare for but they are basic. I just googled interview questions and I knew what to say at every question she asked me. But other than those few questions, there are quite a bit of yes or no questions.
If you want to know where you are gonna be located, at the end of the interview, ask the interviewer where they are thinking about putting you.
Hope this helps
Hey Adam I just had my interview with Sam yesterday and she didn't say if I was hired. I know a few people above said they usually tell you. At least with me she said everything looks good I am going to review this 1 more time and I will be calling you by the end of the week or early next week.
She just ask Like worst work experience explain one
best work experience explain one
Have you worked 16 hours in a day 7 days a week?
do you mind working in all kinds of weather conditions.
worst guest experience? explain one
best guest experience? explain one
How would you handle an angry guest?
Let me know how everything goes and what she tells you tmw. I appreciate it! Good Luck!
To be honest with you, I don't think that I did a really good job on my interview. She said at the end that she was going to give the interview notes to a hiring manager, who will either call me to set up a follow-up interview or offer me the job. I guess we will see.
Even if I don't get the job, I think it was still good that I did the interview, because now I know what questions to prepare for for the next time I have an interview for a job.
