Interview, Housing, Foods, Oh My!

I have a Skype interview with the foods department tomorrow and I had a few questions I needed help with.

First, I was wondering how long the interview usually takes. I scheduled it at 11 am and I was hoping to be done before noon but if not, I just want to make sure it doesn't go past 12:45 since I have a class at 1.

Second, my interview is with the foods department and I was curious as to if I would know ahead of time where I would be working (Johnny Rockets, TGI Friday's, etc) assuming I am hired.

Third, is there a way to request certain conditions for where you are placed? I am not particularly picky, but I can't work in a place where alcohol is served or consumed. I am over 21, it is not an age issue, but I have issues being around people consuming alcohol and being in places where it is served. I realize there are many places within the park that serve alcohol, but it would be easier to work in a location that is not one of them.

Fourth, I was wondering about housing. I am not sure, nut is Golds still available for housing? Also, what is the best option for two people who want to live together? My fiance and I would be processing in on the 15th of May (she is an admissions rehire) and while most housing options are 3-4 people per room I saw that the apartments(I think)are 2-3 people per room. How likely is it that only 2 people would get a room without a third person? Is Golds the only option that is for 2 people only?

I'm sorry, I know its a lot of reading and question(but +10 XP if you got through it all :) )but I just want to be as prepared as possible to ensure smooth sailing :)

Thanks!

Interview 15 to 30 minutes.

Yes gou will know were you will be working. Or you can request a place I think.

Only place I know that does not serve alcohole or liquor is DQ chill and grill i worked there last season.

I would suggest commons apartments they have 14 people in them however each room is dorm style and has a lock and key for each room. Two people to a room in each apt. More privacy for a couple to get lovey dovey :).

Good luck on your interview

I had my skype interview with the rides department so it may be different, but it lasted a little over an hour. The last 30 minutes or so was just us talking about my school, she arranged a carpool for me so I could work halloweekends and scheduling my trainings.

I was allowed to request my ride so you may be allowed to request your restaurant, it depends on your hiring manager and the needs of the department.

Golds was torn down. The only on point housing that is left is Cedars, which is all male.

I'm not sure how likely it is for you to only get two roommates.

In comment Apts.... Its hard to explain to new people but ill try. Ok commons apts is set up like this 10 to 14 people an apt. Ok each of these apts are devided by 2 person rooms Room A - E For example 2 people to each room. There are only 2 beds in room A 2 in room B etc. These rooms are secure by lock all 10 roommates have a front door keey however each pair of roommates only has a key to his or her room so all 10 people have 2 keys. Example if you are in building 1500 apt 44 you will get 2 keys 44 for the front door and say your room is room A your second key will say 44 A. That is the only way I know of were you will only you and one other roommate in a single room.

Hope this helps and excuse the grammer Im kind of rushing here.

Wow, thanks for all the great responses :)

It seems like the apartments take the cake but are there gonna be very many left by May 15th? I just want to make sure they aren't all taken by then :)

Lol oh yeah commons does not even open until may :) not many people arrive before june :)

there's plenty more than just dq that doesn't have alcohol, Johnny Rockets for example and most of the quick service places. just saying.
