Interview approaching

So i recently gotten an interview with Debra from ride operations and I have few questions (:

Which rides is she in charge of?

What type of questions does she ask during her interviews?

What will my hours be like?

What are my odds of getting an actual fast paced roller coaster?

Debra is the ride operations manager for area one, which includes Ocean Motion/Midway Carousel, Raptor, Sky Ride, Blue Streak, maXair, GateKeeper, Wicked Twister, Kiddie Kingdom, Planet Snoopy, Cadillac Cars/Cedar Downs and Turnpikes/Calypso.

The questions are basic interview questions, why do you want to work here? Tell me about a time...? She'll ask if you prefer to work with adults or children, if you prefer to work in a fast paced work environment versus a slow paced work environment and if you're afraid of heights.

Your hours will vary largely based upon staffing. Beginning of the season, you might average about 70-75 hours per week and at the middle of the season maybe 55-60 hours per week. It really depends though.

As far as fast paced rides in area 1 goes, you have Raptor, GateKeeper and Sky Ride, so about a 27% chance? Don't be discouraged if you don't get your ideal ride at first, there will be loads of chances to cross train to different locations throughout the year.

2010: Millennium Force & Mantis
2011: Raptor
2012: Raptor, Sky Ride and Wicked Twister
2013: Co-Team Leader of Sky Ride
2014: Supervisor of Slingshot/Skyscraper

Wow so my chances are low. I was hoping for the wicked twister or the gatekeeper actually. Do you know which area the wicked twister is in?

If you want Wicked Twister, do not say that you want a really fast paced ride. Even though I consider working Twister as fast paced, she doesn't since there is downtime in between cycles since there is only one train (same goes for maXair). Fast paced for her is SkyRide, Raptor, GateKeeper...Also, by the looks of it, it seems like mostly returners are on the Gatekeeper crew and looks almost pretty full, so don't get your hopes up for Gatekeeper right away. However, like MillenniumSpork mentioned, there are plenty of opportunities to cross train throughout the season.

I had a phone interview with debra and she asked me all those question then she gave me a in person interview for 3/9 is she going to ask those questions all over again?

I'm not really sure what the 2nd interview is like.

All I'm going to say is, dont be discouraged about whatever ride you get. My first year I really wanted to work Raptor and ended up getting contracted to Blue Streak. Then when I got to the park they sent me to Cad Cars, which is where I made my first real CP friends, and you know what? 2 days later, park op called and told me to go over to Wicked Twister. So you really never know what is going to happen. Good luck! Maybe you'll be on my crew!
