interview advice (i guess)

So my friend and I had an interview today. I applied for ride host and got hired on the spot. He applied for games and they said they would call him soon. Does that mean he got the job or what?

2013: Co-Team Leader of Sky Ride
2014: Supervisor of Slingshot/Skyscraper
