Internship

Has anyone ever done an intership with cedar point? If so how did that work? What did you have to do and did you get college credit at all?

the college credit stuff would be through whatever university you're at likely. At least that's how mine works, If I were to spend time at cp on an internship I'd set up the internship class we've got which gives us varying levels of credit depending on time commitments.

If you really want to do an internship that will have lasting results for you, do the Disney College Program. Probably a similar experience (though the housing conditions are better) but Disney will be much more notable on your resume. I did my College Program nearly 20 years ago (goodness...that makes me feel awful) and it is still something I am most asked about when people are interviewing me and looking at my resume. In fact, I think it is one reason I even get the interviews in the first place. People want to talk about Disney.

Now, you can get some mileage out of CP as well because lots of midwesterners identify with it...but Disney will get you further in my opinion.

Chief Wahoo, I am doing my internship at Disney World in the spring. I go to MSU for Horticulture.

I interned in the Public Relations Department last year. I basically just had to contact the director of the department, put in my application and then wait for an interview (which I had in January of last year). I was one of two people chosen for the position and I feel it was very worth while. I learned a ton and had a lot of real world experience under my belt by the time I was done. Because my work weeks were always atleast 40 hours, my university gave me a full 12 credits like they would for a full-time semester on campus.
