Internationals Returining/Coming 2002

I know that this may come rather strange to a lot of us for the upcoming season and the ones that are going to come back but has anybody thought that due to the tragic events that happened the last couple of weeks, the number of international students that we normally part with for the majority of the summer will drop like a rock this summer?

I am not trying to put them on the spot or anything but maybe a chance to notice this problem that may give Cedar Point and other places where they depend on them a very big problem this summer. I know that what happen was really bad and I will be honest that is for sure. But, this is a problem that I am hoping that they are looking at.

In other words, recruiting to us veterans that have worked at the park may need to be boosted a little bit so that in case there is a big shortage of them, then we have the staff there to help us get through the summer... To be honest, they are the best people to work with but I am surprised that this hasn't been brought up already. I know that is ia nearly a month after the park closing....so this is hopefully the park won't have as big of a problem.

ON THE OTHER HAND, THOUGH, I know that attendance will go up this summer because of the fact that the gas prices are the lowest in quite some time and it will make local travel more affordable for families and therefore will have them come to the park. Not only the big yellow monster on Oceana (this was compiled from may boards on other sites).

What do you think about that international's and their place at CP this coming year. I hope they come back because they are some of your best friends if you know what I mean.

CP Lifer, going on 5 seasons in 2002 :):):):):):):)

I am pretty sure that there will be some internationals who'll come for the money.  The one I worked with was so cool.  He told me that during the course of the summer he will make more money then the president of his country makes in a year.  I think money will help bring them back.  I still think that it might be a problem if the internationals would be afraid to fly into the country.

I love these gas prices now.  Our wallets can breath a sigh of releif. :)
