International Workers

I know that Cedar Poitn accepts applications from International people. I was just wondering if the intewrnational applicants get less pay/hours, worse rides to operate etc?

Yes, as far as I know. . .Cedar Point is very discriminative against people from other countries. They only get 56 cents an hour. . .but they DO get more hours than most. . .working between 70 and 80 hours a week -- cleaning the floors -- WITH THEIR TONGUES!

But I think Jimmy might have a good question, because after all it is not unheard of for foreign workers to labor under very bad conditions for little pay in this country, after all. But CP doesn't discriminate - everyone gets paid little to work long, hard hours <g>

At CP everyone makes the same amount as everyone else at their location (except of course TL's and Supervisors). From my experience, the international employees wanted to have a lot of hours, so they could make as much money as possible. Each person on a crew usually gets an equal amount of hours, but you can ask to be cutback from work as well be able to work more hours than scheduled. I was more than happy to help out and generously give some of my hours away to any eager international folks. I'm such a nice gal ;-)

However, the internationals do have to pay to get themselves to the park and that isn't cheap.
