Maybe it said a Pilgrims Plunge type ride, and they decided against it?

The market research said people wanted a water ride.

And Cedar Fair made a bad choice going with that particular ride.

On paper, I'm sure it looked good, but Intamin's execution seemed to be very flawed.

Cedar Fair okay'd everything Intamin did. They didn't give them a blank check and a clean slate and ask for them to surprise them when they were done. They knew exactly what they were getting, as far as the layout and theme of the ride goes.

As far as the layout and theme of the ride went, yes; mechanically they got a lemon.

So, Noggin, are you suggesting the tallest, fastest, longest lemonade stand may be in new for 2017?

Funny you should say that, my job title has "sales" in it.

What makes you say that?

While at the park yesterday, there was a survey crew doing their thing in the soak city parking lot. They were over by the big water play structure by the cabins. The former go cart track site has been graded and grass planted.

I did specifically recall seeing "1969" yesterday right in front of the Soak City entrance. Is this when the entrance was built? If not, I'm not sure what that could mean. The previous front entrance was built in the 1960s so I'm thinking it's a possibility.

It could just be a number for some construction reason instead of a year.

That entrance was added in 1977 as part of the park's three year project to connect Frontiertown and the Main Midway. (Corkscrew opened in 1976, Witches Wheel and the relocated Dodgems 1 opened in 1977, and the Gemini midway completed the project in 1978.)

Mean streak was testing all day yesterday. Not sure whats going on...would like to see something new back there and some how connect that back side of the park with the rest. If they are going to tear anything down.....make it Gemini and use that land with the go kart area and give us another Intamin record breaker!!! Just in my own opinion. Fix Mean streak and tear down that piece of cramp Gemini!

Is there a way to down vote posts? Gemini is one of the most interactive rides in existence. (When both trains are running)
