Not a great deal. Most of them seem to be in the neighborhood of $25-$30 each, and once you add in shipping, there's no significant savings to be had. Add in the fact that its technically illegal, and it sounds like a pretty bad idea to me, considering you can get Funday tickets for $30 through perfectly legal means.
Well, you can find a price deal, but as others have said, its up to you to trust a seller.

How packed is cedar point during halloweekends we plan on going opening weekend (september 22 and 23) does it get real packed?
If it's a nice day, CP will be packed. I've been there when it's cold and it's still pretty darn busy. Rides are generally "walk on", but the haunted houses and Fright Zone/Carnevil are packed. I was at GL last year on a really nice day (no clouds, nice temperature) and same thing. Once the "haunting' started, it was completely packed. But there the fog just lingered and you literally couldn't see 3' in front of you. It was great.
I was about to ask the same question. I would like to go this year, but not if it is super-busy. I looked at some of the trip reports that people posted last year. Sounds like it gets VERY busy on Saturdays with very long lines for the good rides.
Anyone who's been there for Halloweekends care to share?

Buying the tickets on Ebay can be risky. Not only is it against the rules (tickets aren't supposed to be resold) you could end up with a bunch of tickets that won't get you in the gate. If an employee quits or gets fired, their complementary tickets become invalid. You do get some of these people who still try to make a buck off of them by selling them on Ebay and such things like that. Save yourself the risk and buy them at the park or from a retailer like Meijer or AAA.
And then one day you find ten years have got behind you
No one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun
Definately save your trip for Halloweekends. :)

Halloweekends are the best time of the year at CP, IMO. The cool fall air, the Halloween atmosphere, I can't get enough of it. I'm planning on making a late September trip as well as a closing day trip this year. Ahh the wonders of having my own car.
We'll miss you MrScott and Pete
Love the Halloweekends... very different vibe in the park than during the summer season. Fun Halloween decorations, monsters ambling about, spectacular haunted attractions in the evenings - which pretty much kill lots of ride lines.... If I can only do one CP trip a year, I'll usually plan that trip to happen during Halloweekends.
Last year, my wife and I experienced the busiest day we have ever seen at Cedar Point in three decades of fun. Of course, it was a Saturday. This year we are strategically going on Friday in hopes of a slightly less populated Point.
Promoter of fog.
As stated many times before, the weather is usually the biggest factor in crowds. If you end up with a 70 degree sunny Saturday in October, you can pretty much bet the place will be crowded. At least that's been the result in the past.

I just go for a whole weekend. Get down Friday around 6, its limited rides, but still tons of fun. Since you can hit a bunch of stuff on Friday, you feel less rushed on Saturday, which is busy. But thats hit or miss. If its going to be high 60's and sunny, watch out, if its going to be mid to upper 40's with showers off and on, it can be short lines everywhere.
Since I have Friday and Sunday, I'm not terribly worried about doing it all on Saturday. Halloweekends are such a blast though, the decorations, the attractions and the shows are all top notch and I would highly recommend going to see the Edgar Allen Poe stories. Those guys are just amazing.

Thanks for the tip Jugga. That is actually something we always walk past, but this year we will definitely check it out. I agree with you wholeheartedly that it is hands down a top-notch experience. Carn-Evil was so well done in just its first year, I cant wait to see what they do for Fear Fairre.
My personal favorite? A tie between the skeletons in the aquarium as you walk by in Carn-Evil, and the skeleton barbershop quartet on the FT.
What are your favorite Halloweekend attractions?
Promoter of fog.
Definitely Carn-Evil, the Cemetary (up the middle of the main midway), the EAP stories and Monsters Rock.
I also like watching the movies on the big screen. The first year we went, they had "Nosferatu" playing. Last year they had "Creature from the Black Lagoon".
Oh, I also like the Fright Zone warning by the MF bridge. That's pretty fun to watch.

I'm a fan of Werewolf Canyon... very cool, spooky fun, plus the bonus of getting to walk though Thunder Canyon.
Also, though CarnEvil is cool, it's tough to beat the original FrontierTown Fright Zone. Especially if you're there on a night that's not very windy and the fog has a chance to settle.... walking though only being able to see a few feet in front of you is pretty cool.
Though the attractions are great, just walking around the park checking out all of the themeing they do is really cool too.... they really do go all out for the festivities.

Me and seven of my friends are making the journey from Kentucky this weekend as well, except we are going to the park on Saturday and Sunday. This is our first Halloweekends. Yay!
