Interesting Halloweekends note....

I was on the Geauga Lake website the other day, and it looks like their season ends with Oktoberfest in September this year.... No Halloween Haunt for Geauga Lake. Looks like Cedar Fair is aiming to make Halloweekends the only game in town for Halloween this year.... I hope that doesn't overinflate the CP Halloweekends crowds....

I doubt it since hardly no one went to Geauga Lake's version of Halloweekends last year.

I think I was in the park with 20 people one of the days last year.

You guys must have been at a different park that I was last year then...

I'm so excited that Valleyfair is having halloweedends this year for the first time in a long time. The downside is they are only going to have one scare zone.

I'm wondering how busy it was at Halloween before the park became Geauga Lake again. I never went there when it was Six Flags. Did they even have a Halloween-type attraction there?

I'm asking because I worked at CP during the first Halloweekends. It was dead there, too. The first couple of years at CP were like that. Now you can't even move. I'm just thinking that maybe they need to give it more time.

I need help and suggestions

I am wanting to buy tickets on ebay for halloweekends.

Are the adult general admission tickets good for halloweekends?

Should I trust the tickets I buy on ebay are valid?

Adult G/A are good for Halloweekends although Friday I believe they also accept starlight tickets.

That all depends on the seller.

Personally, I'd be skeptical of tickets purchased on EBay. Is there some advantage in purchasing them there rather than through traditional means?

Can get cheaper tickets on ebay

See, that (to me) is disconcerting. How did the seller get cheap tickets, and if they received them at a reduced rate for some reason, are they allowed to sell them? Are they counterfeit?

Unless you're saving more than $10, there's no reason to buy them on EBay - you can get at least $10 off the ticket price through other, perfectly legal means.

CP tickets aren't valid if they're resold. Says so right on the ticket.

This is the first year in quite some time (I'm thinking since 97?) that Geauga Lake hasn't had a Halloweekends-like event at the end of their season.

Re: resold tickets.... but how would they know if they were resold?

Most of the tickets on Ebay I'm sure are employee passes! There is a big black market for those things. Most of the international employees won't have family coming. They sell the tickets all the time! It's against the rules but I don't think they make a big deal about it.

I'm not happy about elimination of so many fall weekends at GL. I've taken my daughter at least 3 or 4 weekends in September and October. The lack of crowds and frequently nice weather make it a big draw for us. Now, I dunno... I might take her to CP once or twice this fall, but it's too far and too big to go for just a few hours like GL. It requires a dedicated day, as opposed to a spur-of-the-moment, "Hey, let's go to Geauga Lake this afternoon!" kind of thing. :(

If any one can,,,check ebay,,,cedar point tickets...let me know then what you think... if its worth it,,,,seems to me we can really save alot of money
