Interest in a potential off-season gathering

Sorry to hear it's a no go for now. I was looking forward to it as well.

Sorry Ensign, last weekend in March is the first weekend PKD and BGE are both open. You're more than welcome to join us in VA if you'd like though. :)

I have to side with Loopy. By the end of March there will be much more interesting things to do besides the IX center. No offense.

how about PKI's opening weekend? I think it would be interesting for us as a group (especially those like myself who have never been to PKI) to explore the park and have a good time. I will be there for sure! I plan to do a big road trip that week.

Yeah, I'm already planning on hitting KI opening weekend (notice we've taken the 'P' out of the 'KI'). I'm just trying to get a fix before April 21st.

If anybody wants to go ride the ex-X-Flight, I'm game.

I'm so sorry that this is going to sound self-centered (I don't mean it to be) but I'm glad there won't be anything this year. I would like to do something like that but my funds are limited and with my friend's wedding coming up, it's going to get tight. But I'm all up for next year. :-D

The off-season gathering does sound like a good idea. Something I would want to consider going to in the future.

(To jump back in topic since I missed this topic a while ago...) Even though the turn out for the informal take over was lower than expected, it was fun to meet a few of you.

Go to KI and stop by Tomb Raider, I'll be probably be there at least part of the day.

That sure was interesting. Everyone just kind of stood there not saying much.......then we finally decided to go head to Mean Streak and then Magnum then we just lost eachother.......it was definatly interesting. :)

Were you even there, TTD? Next time we have to make up Pointbuzz badges. That wouldn't look dorky or anything.

0g, it really was great hanging out with everybody, especially screaming at the TTD queue from Iron Dragon. *sigh* Good times.

At the closing day gathering:

I think we got split up at Dragster. As I recall, we didn't all load on the same trian. I was on the second train to load, then after getting off, everyone who was on the train first was no where to be seen, so the rest of us went off to ride other rides.

I'm disappointed that I missed that gathering on closing day, however at the meeting time I was driving up the Causeway heading back to the park after a nice lunch at Friday's Castaway Bay location. I hope to be there opening day this year, but it all depends on work. Chances are I'll be able to get it off and will be able to meet more PointBuzzers.

See now I keep suggesting it and I think it would be a good idea in addition to the shirt. I came up with 2 designs but I'm open for suggestions.

I'd love to make some, given I have permission from Walt and or Jeff (whos ever decision it is). I'd also be willing to give them for free to anyone who wants them (just pay for shipping).

I also came up with something I'll be putting on my PB shirt every year to represent each opening day I've been to starting with 2005 (though my first was in 04).

Q's: 1) Do alot of people go opening day & meet up? 2) Do you all wear your point buzz shirts? 3) Does CP get mad the shirt says Magnum is sinking? 4) What if everyone put their point buzz name on their shirt? (Easier to identify the members of the computer nerd club :) ) 5) Will I ever stop asking stupied questions? (no reply needed here)
