INTAMIN INFORMATION NEEDED

I am doing a research paper for college on LIM/LSM drive systems on rollercoasters. Does anybody know a good way to get ahold of Intamin or Intaride (other than there web site). I am hoping to get some information from them on how the systems work and how it has changed rollercoaster design in the last few years.

THANKS IN ADVANCE FOR YOU HELP

Don't mind them. They're just frustrated, wannabe message board editors. :)

I know tambo, it is just so much fun to break out the big words on them and watch them scramble for the dictionary to find out what it means. ;)

What's this "them" crap all about?

I provided information to suit exactly what you were looking for. I don't see how that makes me a "wannabe message board editor".

As far as my google comment, it was said in jest. A tone quite a few of the kids around here don't seem to understand.

I know exit, I was refering to redsox5 not you. I really do appreciate the information you provided.

PS: I am far from a kid. I am a 39 year old college student. Guess I got a late start. :)

Don't worry, I switched my major from Computer Science to Mechanical Engineering last year, and now I'm working for a computer consulting company, so it's back to Microsoft certs and computer science.

I'm 25, so I'm not too much of a kid anymore.

sigh.

You see an awful lot of engineers on rollercoaster sites. Or those studying it. Or plan on studying it. I myself actually transferred into Mechanical Engineering this year (ironically, my first year of college, I started into computer science).

I have just started but my major is Mechanical Engineering. It's cool to see that the people around here have common interests other than roller coasters, and Cedar Point.

I just only wish that there really was a Callahan Auto Parts factory in Sandusky, that would be worth adding an extra day to any CP trip.

maXair, make sure you're taking classes that include Pro-E. Moreso than AutoCad.

I interviewed for a design spot at a company, and didn't get the job because they would have had to train me on Pro-E, as they've stopped using AutoCad altogether. They told me that it's pretty common, and companies have started to move away from AC very quickly.

I need to learn Pro-E. AutoCAD and Inventor suck and the jobs dont pay as well. A buddy I used to work with increased his pay by $12/hr just by going to a company that uses Pro-E. Of course I work for a company that is bass akwards so maybee thats the problem!

Im a doctoral candidate in Marriage and Family Therapy at "The" Ohio State University.

It's actually been interesting to hear a few of your own backgrounds, so I thought I would thrown mine out as well. Hmm. I think I would go out on a limb and hypothesize that the average "education" (both predicted for our minors and actual for others) is quite high. :)
