Instead of a Hyper......

Back in 2002 Six Flags did get the 180-foot limit raised to 210 feet. ...

The reason that was actually raised was because they were trying to add an S&S combo tower by the name of "Power Launch: the cooling", here's a picture of the logoof the ride. The tower was going to be located where Dodgem's is at now, and Dodgem's would be relocated to where Shipwreck Falls is at now.

The link didn't go through...

sorry boout that.... '

"They are relocating the dodgems, silver bullet, and some of the picnic areas. The theme will consist of some type of mine shaft where a terrible explosion happens (Power Launch:The Explosion).

"The announcement will be sometime in November and
construction will begin as soon as the park shuts down. Hope this info was some good news today for you. My sources are from park management, I saw the press kit for the ride."

So much for THAT bright idea ;)

Saying that GL, or rather CF, wont put in another hydraulic coaster because of the problems with Dragster is wrong because, if anything, CF has learned a BUNCH from Dragster.
I could see another hydraulic coaster going in somewhere and it being a big hit....like Xcelerator or Storm Runner. And with little downtime. And why not do something cool like make the tophat upside down.:)

Personally I want one at MiAdv!!;) Something themed to Michigan though...kind of like what they're doing for their new ride Grand Rapids(I like that name:D).

But more to the topic, I would also like to see one at GL.

The problem is that I don't see the return on investment. Six Flags poured money into rides at SFWOA and lost money too.

Without that, there isn't a justification for building any such rides.

Too much was put in far too quickly. It's a slow process, not an overnight process like SF seemed to think (building a great park).

Three things you need to fix anything in the universe: duct tape, WD-40, and a hammer. Duct tape if it moves and it shouldn't, WD-40 if it doesn't move and should, and the hammer as the last resort.

Please no S&S drop tower. It's been over done! I think a ride like powder keg would be cool if there going to do a coaster. If CF decides to put a hyper in GL I hope for a B&M dive coaster. It would be something different then CP.

Those things are generally TWICE as much as a regular B&M of comparable size, just because the track is twice as wide..... You have to weigh operating economics over anything else.

The only way to truly make GL a world class park, and in line with essentially every other CF owned park, is to have a hyper-coaster..... Of course if it was keeping in line with how CF does their hypers...it'd be made by Chance Morgan.
