In the park without pockets.

Yeah, I know a lot of girls who carry their IDs and a debit card, or some cash when we go out to bars or things like that, it's just never been my thing. Always too much of a chance of flashing someone or just felt gross handing someone something that came out of my bra. I usually just use a small clutch bag that just has enough room for all the normal wallet things and my phone. But I usually prefer not even to carry something like that in with me because I enjoy putting my hands up on coasters, and having something in your hands, or wrapped around your wrist makes that hard.

Before my son got straps for his glasses I used to put them in a case when we went on each coaster, usually then in my pocket. Once when getting on Maverick we forgot until the last minute so I got the case out, he handed me his glasses and I shoved them in the case and down my bra. Towards the end of the ride everything shifted and the case briefly cracked open and then closed and piched and yeah, that hurt. Didn't do that again...

Regrading car keys...

I used to leave my key ring in the trunk of the car, leave the passenger compartment open, and attach a key ring to my belt loop with a *trunk* key attached to it.

Then, plan A was to use the trunk key to retrieve my car keys from the trunk of the car. Plan B was that if for some reason I couldn't do that, I could remove the back seat and still get to the car keys. I actually had to do that once.

Of course, now cars don't have trunk keys, and the trunk isn't a secure space unless the passenger compartment is locked. Plus, my car has a keyless entry keypad that I can use to pop the trunk open. But you know, you can get a trunk-and-door key made now...just have a non-transponder key cut for a couple of bucks instead of the $$$ for one that starts the engine.

The thing to keep in mind about using a plain ol' key for the doors and trunk on a modern car (if the trunk even has a manual lock) is that the car is liable to set off the alarm until the transponder key is inserted into the ignition. That's the way mine works; even if I use the IKT (integrated key transponder) on the door, I still have to insert the key into the ignition to silence the alarm.

Neither of our vehicles have keys at all now, just the remote.

My car has a valet key that only works on the door and ignition. If the door is unlocked by inserting that key into the keyhole, the alarm does not go off. It probably has a transponder in it because the ignition works, but it does not have the lock and unlock buttons so it works better in your pocket at CP because it is not nearly as fat.

I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks,
than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.

If the main keys have transponder chips in them, the valet one does as well. If not, the valet key would indeed set off the alarm/immobilize the engine.

I went seriously backwards with my last car purchase so I have old style flat door and ignition keys that take pretty much no room in the velcroed pocket and can be replaced for $2. I used to leave the windows cracked until somone dumped pop through the window into the passenger seat on purpose while we were in the park.

As a guy, I am lucky, as most of the clothes marketed to us have functional pockets. We don't seem to have to worry as much about fashion as women, but can easily wear clothes that are functional and stylish.

I normally wear cargo pants I got on clearance from LL Bean (meaning once the ones I have are worn out, I won't be able to get replacements :-(), and I now wear nice functional polo shirts from LL Bean (with a zippered chest pocket) that have also been discontinued :-(. Checking LL Bean's website, I found several pants/shorts and skirts/skorts that may work for you:

LL Bean isn't cheap, but they offer a 100% satisfaction guarantee, and will take back just about anything if you don't like it, even after a couple of YEARS! I went to high school about 20 minutes away from their flagship store in Maine, but didn't really start wearing their clothes until about ten years after I graduated. The quality and the customer service is well worth the extra money, and LL Bean items now make up a huge part of my wardrobe, specifically their pants and jeans. On amusement park visits, I have recently become a walking LL Bean billboard.

As a guy, I have no idea if any of these suggestions would work for you, but if you have the time and the money, I would suggest looking into them, even if you end up returning them. If you live in/near Cleveland, LL Bean is opening a store at Legacy Village this fall. A small store (so probably not much of what is in the catalog), but one where you could at least check out their quality.

I used to wear a mini crossbody purse on the rides but since CP is mostly no purses at all, I had to search for a fanny pack. I'd rather wear that than shorts that make me look worse. This is what I got off of eBay except mine is a matte bomber brown:

It is convertible to a crossbody or even a belt loop and it fits my needs perfectly. It's not too big, yet holds a lot and I don't think it looks too fanny-packish.
