If you're part of the rollback club...

How long did it take you to get your first roll back, and how many rollbacks have you had total, and does it make you at all jealous (in a "man, you lucky ducky" way) if you waited years and someone gets rollback on their first time or first season? Took us "billions" of rides, 9 years, to finally get a rollback. Best thing EVER! Hope it wasnt the last. Double wouldve been sweeter. We were actually going to make our own buttons that said we were part of the rollback club. I think they should have those buttons and hand them out to people when they get a rollback, haha, seriously.

Waited many years just to ride it, tried a few times and it always broke down. First time that I actually got to the station and in the front row. Had been in line for a little over an hour and really had to use the bathroom, sat down and was thinking yeah, finally! Launched and just got a little way up the tower. slowly rolled back to the station... made everyone get out and I said I cant wait any longer I have to go. Was my only trip that year, had to wait until the end of the next season to experience the full ride.

I got a rollback on closing day of opening year. It was alright

13 years to get one. Was my one and only. But it came at a memorable time for me,2015 last operating day of the season,TTD line entrance had closed(about 8:15 pm),it was my very last ride of the season.

If I don't get another, that's fine. I don't like the long wait to be put back slowly into launch position.

I've only had one. Sometime early in the 2004 season in the front seat. With the speedometer on the hydraulic launch hardware building, we knew it was going to be a rollback since we were less than '120,' just can't remember exactly what it was. Made it over the top and hung there in what felt like an eternity and then slowly started drifting back and eventually gained speed coming backwards. Best way to describe it is like the ending of Wicked Twister, you drop backwards and slow down. Granted, the adrenaline rush is much much higher when doing this from nearly double the height. Getting a second launch is definitely the icing on the cake.

I was on a rollback once.
I don’t recall counting the number of rides, visits, or years I spent before that hoping and praying for this “holy grail” of ride experiences, though. Seriously, is that a thing? And why?
I guess the experience was fun, but I’m not sure it’s something I’d wish to repeat. Truth told, it was a lengthy process and a bit of a hassle.

My hope when boarding any ride is that everyone involved has a thrilling, but more importantly, a safe and consistent ride as intended. Not that there will be a malfunction.

I got one rollback a few years ago. It was alright. My goal these days is to actually get a ride on TTD; that's hard enough to do, let alone worrying about getting rollbacks.

I got my first one during Coastermania ERT this year, it was a cool experience.

I’ve never had a rollback. One of my best friends got one on his first ride. I’m still mad at him. Lmao

My first roll back was years ago on Gemini when it didn't make it up the final helix. Trim brakes on too hard for the almost empty train. Pretty slow and unexciting. Oh wait, are you talking about TTD? Never on that ride.

I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks,
than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.

Oh, in that case I got a rollback on Maverick during the First Riders event. Then we sat in the rain for 20 minutes.

I have gotten multiple rollbacks on Pipescream & Wicked Twister.

I’ve had two. First one was in 2012 HW cold Friday first train. I was in the front seat and the front of the train actually made it past the top and we BARELY achieved the rollback. It was cool getting whipped back over the top!

Second one was a couple years later sitting next to stinky Chris. Haven’t had one since then.

Glad I didn't say anything to that guy then.

Nope. I would love to experience one. Pretty much all my rides it goes over the hill fast. There was only one where it took slow to get over the hill And it's annoying when I bring it up to others and they're like no way I want to experience that! So I would be annoyed if it was a first timer that is already a bit scared and certainly doesn't want to experience a rollback and gets to experience it.

That's a strange coincidence. I also waited 9 years for a rollback AND wanted to make some sort of button saying "TTD Rollback Club" or something on it. I would wear it like I did with the Mean Streak Goodbye button (I loved that ride). I still haven't made one yet, though. I'm not very artistic lol.

My experience with a rollback was so awesome! I literally had a dream about it a few days before, only instead of the TTD trains being on the tracks, there were Valravn trains (lmao). In real life, we were on the purple train. It was actually really funny because there were approx. 2 empty seats per car. Everyone else in line chose to wait for the front seat instead of getting on right away. The ride host asked if they wanted to ride right away, and they refused. I wonder if the employee at the controls purposefully caused the rollback to piss them off, haha. We were pulled back into the station because a terrified parent wanted her child off the ride immediately. He ended up staying on anyway. Those waiting for front quickly left that line to fill in the train, and they begged for a rollback. We made it over the top that time. XD

I got a few rides on Steel Venom where it stalled on the back spike.

Rollback on TTD a week before it opened in 2003.

No roll backs, don't really care if I get one. What I really don't want is to balance on the top. It's a great view and all but I think it would suck being stuck up there waiting for maintenance.
