I had a day in August that was simply charmed. On the way in, street crews were paving route 6. I made it to the Chausee by a few car lengths, just missing a literal sea of red brake lights from the traffic pile up on route 6. That event, it seems, was an omen of things to come. The ride day started with a front seat trip on Millennium Force and progressed with front seat rides on all the major coasters. The ticket to ride program worked flawlessly, allowing us to ride, dine, and enjoy the park to the fullest. The second to the last ride was on Iron Dragon, where we were briefly stopped at the top of the second lift hill for about two or three minutes, just long enough to enjoy the breeze and the view. The Omega ride of the day was Millennium Force again, amazingly in the front seat for a second time in the same day.
I wouldn’t have believed it if I hadn’t done it myself. The only thing that came close was Millennium Mania, second day, with 33 contiguous Raptor rides.
