If you can't tell by now...

Yeah Majin Heero, I think you're right. I guess I just got confused because there are 3 of those bolt thingies in the picture.

How can you tell if it's off to the side of the launch? From what I've seen at the park(and I've been there for all Halloweekends thus far) , ALL footers thus far are parallel to each other, and perpendicular to the structure. That includes footers down by Chaos and Troika.

Maybe there's gonna be TWO tophats.
No... there isn't going to be two tophats.

Wow! Gravity you are my idol. I worship people who know everything.
I think it's pretty safe to say that the ride will be more then just a launch and top hat. Otherwise there is very little reason to start construction so soon. I know the mechanical stuff involved with the launch takes some tweeking, but I'm guessing they will be done with the top hat by the end of October..or just a little past it..If not, they will probably concintrate on another portion of the ride and there is only going to be so much other then the top hat if it's just an out and back kinda ride. I think it's easy for people to start believing it's just a launch and top hat because the only construction that has been done so far is on that part of the ride. I think they're doing the top hat first just because it takes up a small peice of land that does not cause a lot of interference with the guests in the park.
Don't recall saying I knew everything. But, I do recall a thread discussing multiple tophats. I also recall how we pretty much agreed, for reasons stated in that same thread, it wasn't a possibility.

But, thanks for trying! NEXT!

Why start construction so early? At least one of the reasons for that is pretty simple. All the work for draining the lagoon would have been much harder, maybe even impossible to accomplish once the season was over due to the dropping temperatures.

The bottom line is: Why drain a lagoon if you don't have to? Given CP's past, it will be more than just a top hat. Why build a ride that does not top everyone else?

What do you mean doesn't top everyone else. Anybody else have a coaster over 110mph? Anybody else have a coaster over 415'? If CP builds what everyone thinks its going to be, then its topping everyone else. If you were traveling at over 100mph and ascending higher than 400', I think that's a crazy ride in itself. I think you all are asking way too much with your overbanks and multiple tophats. There's already a super fast coaster in the park with overbanks. In my estimation, CP's going to break records at a very reasonable cost.

I completely agree with Ralph Wiggum on this one - when I was there last weekend, it looked to me like there really weren't any supports at the end of the "brake run" section of it (assuming launch on the track near the midway) that indicated a turn into the station. My first thought was I looked up and you could come either over the midway just like Corkscrew does (although this might make a nightmare to get back to the station without really putting a dent into the feel of that midway and maybe Power Tower ;) ) or that a huge turn going over Iron Dragon is a real possibility. Behind the newly painted rocks and bushes of Mantis, there is also a lot more clearing and equipment than there has been in years past, so perhaps this is where the "pullout" of a possible turn could be?

... hoping and praying that its not a L-TH-BR ...

Here is a crazy idea! What if you are all wrong?

How do we know that the grey supports aren't for a super inclined launch? I mean, when Xcelerator debuted, it had an inclined launch, and that was brand new and crazy. Wouldn't a 45 degree launch be even cooler? That way, it would go up the top hat and come down the right side, away from the lagoon and then it could do more stuff!

Come on now, we all think we know what this ride is going to be, but we dont. Please, don't believe everything you hear, and dont think that CP cant pull something amazing off, cause we all know they can! Even Wicked Twister was a great idea! CP will not settle for second best!
