Identify this aircraft

I used to listen to Triv all the time. Now, the non-stop commercials and his ego ruin what was once a pretty entertaining show.

While at the park yesterday I noticed a bunch of smaller, matching aircraft flying directly over the park. Couldn't tell you much about the planes except that they were single engine prop-jobs with fixed landing gear. They flew over the park quite a bit throughout the day. I thought CP was considered a no-fly zone??

I don't think it's restricted airspace.

I know we have identified the aircraft but the Blue Angels are F-18s and they have a V-Tail, that is how I always identify them. The blue is also very easy to pick up at that altitude.

As for the airspace I contacted a friend who would know. I myself didn't know, but I know he would. So below is a pretty safe solid bet as to how the airspace is:

Cedar point is not restricted airspace, except it's possible it's still under the top ring of Class B air space from Cleveland, meaning that it's possible from 8000-10000ft. you would have to contact Cleveland Hopkins for permission to intrude on their air space. Otherwise FAA Regulations basically only stipulate "500 feet from any person, vessel, vehicle or structure."

Its was one of NASA's trainers, you can see them in TOP GUN they are the "migs" in that movie

Shoot the rapids, tame and dry. Thunder Canyon, wet and laughter. Snake River Falls, soaked and smiling. White Water Landing and the old shoot the rapids, Fun and missed.

It is not a Blue Angel.

I tried to post pics to compare but am having trouble getting my pics blown up on here. They are too small to view.

But the aircraft is not an Angel.

I would like to add that the Thunderbirds had a great performance on Monday. Well Done.

Here is a little slide I just made, to just stop the comments saying it was a blue angel....

By the way, I am the friend that Hooper has been talking to about this string.

Hope this helps!

I was at CP this past Friday and was in line for the Bkue Streak and saw this plane do three loops around the park. It looked like a British Tornado but it was hard to get a close look at.

MaxAir rules!!!

Blue Gemini Always Wins.

I believe thats where a lot of element ideas by B&M came from.

RCDB ( http://rcdb.com/glossary33.htm )says that the Immleman element was named after a German Pilot in WWI. To go along with that, "Mr. Safety Science" told me that he enjoys riding Raptor because the elements (Cobra Roll and barrel rolls) remind him of when he was a fighter pilot in training. So, I would definatly agree with you that some of the roller coaster elements have definatly derived from fighter pilot manuvers.
