Ice Show

I don't know if you all have seen the official CP webpage, but the other new attraction next year will be a Peanuts Gang Ice Show. Where are they going to hold this? One would think that they would have to built an arena that can accomodate something like this quickly, right?

You mean that the waiting area where the percussion show used to be will have the Ice Show?

I believe they are redoing the whole theater, I would assume they would make it one huge icerink, and get rid on the IMAX. So sad to see it go.

I doubt it's going to be a rink.  As much as Natalie wants to play hockey there, it's probably just going to be a small ice surface for snoopy and friends to play around on.  My guess is that they'll keep the pre-show area similar to the way it is now and probably take a bunch of seats out of the front of the IMAX theater to put in a raised up ice surface or something.

The Snoopy Show is actually an import from Knott's Berry Farm in Southern California... I should Know.. I had to listen to the annoucements for it all last summer

Wow, I'd hate for the IMAX screen to go. The Michael Jordan show this past summer was my favorite one of all. But I guess they need to add some new attractions.

A a former IMAX usher, I too will miss the theatre.  I hope they don't remove the projector and screen in case they ever decide to use the space to show movies again.

Also, it will be interesting to see how they alter the theatre.  I remember sitting in the last row and looking down at the employee giving the theatre speech before the movie.  They looked TINY.  When you stand it front of anything 8 stories tall let alone a completely white surface, you more or less disappear. 

Hopefully with lighting, sets, and backdrops, they will make it all work.
