I would appreciate some help and reassurance =/

I put in an application a few weeks ago, and interviewed on Saturday for a job at Cedar Point. The interview went EXCEPTIONALLY well--I was interviewing for the live entertainment department and I was told I would DEFINITELY be offered some sort of job, probably as an usher (with a small chance at possibly being an RA--see the other post ;)).

They told me that I would most likely receive an email by Tuesday at the latest. On Monday, I received an email from Brian Short in the rides department about a phone screening and asking me when I would be available and clearly telling me that I would get an email in return to confirm the time that I would be screened. I shot him back a message around noon yesterday with the times I was available. It's Tuesday night, normal hours are done, and I haven't heard back.

Basically, it comes down to a few basic questions: First, should I be worried that I haven't heard anything yet, or is it common to not hear back for a few days? Second, was that email from Brian Short the message I should be expecting? Because to me, that sounds like I'm being called for another interview in a completely different department, almost as though my interview before didn't matter at all (if I drove 4 hours to Sandusky for nothing, that's a little irritating!). Third, is there a WORKING HR number somewhere? I found a 1-800 number somewhere, but whenever I call it, it tells me the extension is dead and that I should leave a message. This third part is a bit of an issue because there's an error in my application (namely my SSN) that NEEDS to be fixed before I can proceed. If you have answers to any of these, you'll be my best friend in the world and I'll buy you a cake. Or maybe I'll just hug you if we ever get the chance to meet. Probably the latter. Thanks <3

It can take a few days to hear back, especially in Live E so don't worry too much. Though I would call them tomorrow before 5 if you don't hear anything.

To get to HR just call the main dispatch (419-626-0830) and ask to be connected to Human Resources. They can connect you to any department so if you want to get to Live E just ask for that.

I've gotta love this place--ask a question, get at least part of your answer within a few minutes. You're the best man! Thanks a ton.

You're welcome, let me try answering another question.
Most likely the reason you got an e-mail from a different department is that when you interviewed they didn't lock your application to Live E and another department just sent out a "feeler" e-mail to see if your interested. My application still hasn't been looked at for Live E and this would be my 3rd year!

If you don't hear from Live E before your second interview, just let the second interviewer know that you are interested in Live E but if you don't hear from them you are interested in working with them.
