This will be my second visit to CP, my first was back in 2001. This will, however, be my first time staying at a CP hotel (Hotel Breakers). This includes a three day CP/Soak City pass that allows for 1 hour early entry into the park.
My questions are these...
Where is Hotel Breakers located in relation to the park? How crowded will the park be on those dates (July 26 - 28)? Will the hour early park entry be of any real benefit?
I will be flying into Toledo Express airport from DFW ( I live in the Dallas/FW area). I will drive a rental car from the airport to the hotel, I have done this drive before and I know it takes about an hour to 1 and a half hours to reach CP from Toledo.
Any and all advice welcome!! And thank you!
PS: I thoroughly enjoyed my previous visit and can't wait to return, even if it has been 11 years.
Breakers is located just outside the park, well within walking distance. When you arrive, stay to the left at the toll booths. Follow perimeter road around the park. The road dead-ends into the Breakers parking lot (after you pass under Magnum).
No one can tell you how crowded the park will be on any date.
An extra hour in the park will always be beneficial.

The Breakers is on the peninsula right next to the park. It's a 5 minute walk to either the Resort gate or Windseeker gate.
It should be pretty crowded being July, but not like on a Saturday in July.
Getting in an hour early is certainly worth it. Depending how you plan it and which coasters you choose you may get 2-5 rides in that hour.
Thanks guys!!! I plan to head straight to TTD!! I've never been on it before. I'm also looking forward to Maverick and Windseeker. I rode MF 12 times during my previous visit, Magnum about 8 or so. I love MF to death, it's just an amazing for me!
I remember they were doing a ton of road work in the Sandusky area last time I visited. I assume diving conditions will much better this time around.
TTD is not and early entry ride. You can get in line if you want to wait until 10.
The early entry rides are Maverick, MF, Iron Dragon, Raptor, Planet Snoopy and hopefully by then Windseeker.
Many resort people enter the resort gate and go/run to Maverick or MF. Another good way to go is enter at Windseeker to get to MF or Raptor.

Do the main gates open early for those coming from Breakers Express? (And/or is there better handicapped parking?)
Yes every gate opens for early entry. The main gate has a slightly different setup and is split down the center. I think it is early entry guest use the left side of the gate while regular admission guests use the right side. This will be marked on the LED signs above the gate.

There's a few miles of construction on the Turnpike (approximately from mile marker 95-105, give or take) but other than that you should be clear. I have yet to run into any major delays on account of it.
The main gate has the closest handicap parking. It is also close to the wheel chair rental counter if you need that. The Soak City lot has HC parking, but it is a fairly long walk through challenge parl to the resort gate.
Ha Ha!!! No, I will not be needing any wheelchairs (unless I get hurt on MS). I am coming alone, and I am perfectly healthy...thanks anyway!
The road work I was referring to was being done near the causeway. I assume that's been completed by now.
I would also like to take this opportunity to pay your magnificent park the highest compliment possible. To me at least, it's simple the best and most enjoyable theme/amusement park I've ever visited. And I've been to some good ones, SFMM, Disney Land (Cali) Disney World (FL), both Universal Parks and nearly every Six Flags park.
To me, CP is simply the best....bar none!
