Well July 10th I took a visit to Sandusky to get my phone back from Steak & Shake. I left this phone on my last trip to Sandusky and the Steak and Shake hadn't dropped off my pre-paid envelope at the UPS store for 4 business days, 1 holiday, and a weekend.
In reality it turns out I've been without my phone for like freaking ever.
So I go with my dad to Cedar Point (he offered to drive :) ). We leave Grand Haven at 6 A.M (yeah little late right when it takes 4.5 hours to get there). I was allotted as much time in the park as I could fit in before we had to leave the park so that I could be in school in Muskegon by 6 PM. So I had to leave the park by 12:45-1 PM. After getting my phone from Steak and Shake and getting to the park I left the car at about 11:47 AM. So with that said I had one hour. (thus leading to the thread in the main forum).
We approach the parking lot and I notice that there are endless rows of vehicles and the day was definitely not a slow one. The busiest the park has been out of any visit this year by far. I notice quite a few maintnence workers on Raptors lift hill, and the ride is obviously down. Top Thrill Dragster was also suffering some downtown while I was there as no trains were running for the majority of my trip.
I entered in the Magnum gate and headed straight for...Magnum. I get in line and its about 4-5 rows away from the stairs (the queue is out that far). So it was a 20-30 minute wait. I get up top and go third row ejector baby. YEAH LETS DO IT! NO lets not how about this, I go in and I walk across the train to put my sack in the bin. And 2 people seemed to have followed me in to the train and take my seats. How precious, but someone in second row was riding single. Not a big problem I guess. Yeah well I love me some third row and my girlfriend doesn't. So this was my chance to get my fix.
Whatever well the Magnum lift hill chain issue still is there and as obvious as ever, and second row was fun, but I prefer middle of Magnum and third row.(and I need to re-ride last row again).
I get over to Maverick and notice the line is way out past the pop machines. So I assume hey thats not feasible in my short time allowed here. The line was 1.5 hour probably....
I go over to Skyhawk...eh short wait times usually and its on the way ya know? Okay well 2 ride cycle wait and I am off on the giant swing. Nice and fun. Would love for a longer ride.
Than I have basically enough time for 1....maybe 2 more rides at this rate. I go to Power Tower and she is sporting a 30 minute wait on the drop side. I stick it out for the wait because Power Tower might be one of the best rides to get your stomach going.
The wait time puts me at the end of my minication even though Magnum was sporting a 15 minute wait supposedly as I walked by the sign.
The park was stewing with people on a stupid hot Sandusky summer day. Soak City was certainly busy and people were continuing to flow in to the park as we left at 12:55 PM.
More European workers, and the park is definitely in full swing in terms of ride waits and attendance.
I didn't notice if Raptor was running when I left. Saw tons of police on the turn pike as we went home. Looks like a speed trap or two at least (we seen multiple people pulled over in the same emergency pull off areas), and it seems like all the crappy cars waiting to die on the road also come out during the day as we noticed a few broken down cars. 2 Dodge Intrepids (93-97 model?).....both with rims on them even broken down haha. I had one of those cars, they suck. There was tons of traffic backups on every road practically after the turn pike. US-23, I-96..........
The End
