From lookuptoledo.org

Week of April 22-April 29 Motorists on I-280, between I-75 and State Route 2 (Navarre Avenue), may encounter rolling traffic stops and delays of up to fifteen minutes in duration during daytime (9 a.m.-3 p.m.) operations. Complete closures of I-280 to interstate traffic are currently scheduled to begin in May, 2005.

My guess is that you would be better off to take I-75 to Exit 201A (I believe thats the number. It's the one for Fifth Third Park, and it says DOWNTOWN. it's a 2 lane exit) and take that road, make a right at the fork, which is washington I believe. Take that up till it dead ends at a light which is SR-53. Make a right. Follow 53 signs over the suspension bridge. Then you'll have to make a left after the bridge about 3/4 of a mile which is clearly marked at SR-2

Also, have fun working on Sky Ride this summer :) it's a great ride to work

Either what bholcomb said, or take I-75 all the way down to the turnpike, and get off at 250... thats a pretty fast, clean way as well

I-280 will be closed for a minimum of 90 days this summer while the approach ramps are completed for the new bridge. You can take I-280 to I-75 and I-75 to the turnpike. Alternatively, and probably the faster route would be to take I-75 to S.R. 795, and then over to I-280 to Route 2. That is the faster route by about 10-15 minutes generally, unless you get an accident in front of you.

Just more of a reason we Michiganders need to move closer to CP....

I just took a trip to Sandusky last weekend, 1-75 was down to 2 lanes in some areas. I-280 hasn't had much more work done (so it seems). Rt 2 looked great until Edison Bay Bridge was down to one lane, but that didnt span whole bridge (thank goodness!)

It will be another interesting summer...

Going all the way to 250 is out of the way and there's more lights and traffic to deal with. You're better off getting off the turnpike at Ohio 4. Don't get on Route 2 and go over to 250 like the signs say either. Keep going north on 4 and there will be more signs directing you to CP. Or take a right on Perkins Ave and then cross over 250 and take a left on Pipe St, left on 6, and right onto the causeway.

There are so many little ways to get to the park and I'm not sure which is best. All I know is that if you follow the route that everyone else does (250), you might catch some heavy traffic on a busy day.

I prefer using 4 as well. I think you meant a right on 6 ;)

I always thought it was funny how they've got those signs telling you to get on Route 2 and take it to 250.

I honestly would take 280 through the detours, its not that bad, I do it once a week. just be sure to go midday.
