How'd you find out about CP?

My first time was in 1962. The Sky Ride was new and the Blue Streak wasn't built yet. Not that it mattered, as I was three years old.

Usually when I went with my parents, we spent much of the day on the beach and then went on rides in the late afternoon and evening. A family tradition was to always go to CP on opening day, where we spent the entire day in the park. This year will be my 42nd consecutive opening day!

Although I lost my dad a few years ago, my mom, at 84 years old, still buys a season pass every year. She goes on some of the slow rides, sees the shows, eats and just hangs out to take in the atmosphere.

than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.

I am only 13 but in 1993 probably was my first time I went to the point. I dont remember how i found out about it but i just kept going every summer. I remember I was to scared to go on the Magnum and it had that space Man candy cane in the front of it. But then i heard Millenium Force was coming out so I wanted to ride that opening day and before I knew it I was a rollercoaster Fanatic And went to ttd's opening day too.
OK looks like it is time to show my age.My first trip to Cedar Point occured in 1976 the year the Screw opened .Major marketing as the first coaster to flip upside down 3 times and over a midway at that.Impressive structure at about 90ft?Of course I was afraid of coasters and watched form the beches as my brothers (who are younger)and parents ride it over and over.Even the mine ride was intimidating for me(yea i know what a wimp).
Coaster riding began for me the year Gemini opened and it was my gf(now ex) and myself and of course she wanted to ride it.Well pulled up the belt and threw myself on it and well needless to say been coasting ever since.
Unfortunatly now due to parent responsibilities=bills i had to cut down the number of trips but still manage to go twice a year.
This year is great as I get to introduce two of my little ones to the adventures of coaster riding.Hopefuly they do better than I did.

I've gone to Cedar Point since I have been born (minus a year here and there). We kind of live 20 min away so it's not that bad of a drive. We never got a pass to go more than once, but we'd make it a vacation to go once a summer. My first rollercoaster was Mine Ride and then Disaster... Waited 1hr 30min for the first year. It was when they had all the robots and the INSANE queues. I had to pee so bad before we got on! It was fun though :)

In any case last year was the first year for me to work there, this year is the second and last :( I want to work more but school prohibits it. I really wish I could come back... maybe if I don't have a job they'll take me for a month next next summer ;)

Been to the Point ever since I was a little kid and my parents took us. I still remember having to wear those string bracelets with the annoying metal clip and we had to show it to the ride ops before getting onto the ride.

Loyal Mean Streak fan 4ever:)

My dad use to be one of the largest distributors of Nite Crawlers to the local bait shops of Sandusky. One summer day in June of 1994, my dad told me that down the street a little bit from where we were, "there is a really big fair over there." You have to understand that my dad is somewhat "fresh off the boat" from asia and didn't know the words "amusement park". So I asked my dad if we could go and one month later we went for my brothers birthday. So I am going to celebrate my tenth anniversary with Cedar Point this year so I am determined to ride the Blue Streak, my first roller coaster, on July 13th!

Life has it's ups and downs, might as well make it on a coaster!

My parents took me there when I was 2. :) That was in 1979.

(Oops, wrote 1917 the first time. LOL! I'm not *that* old!)

1994...i have relatives in Michigan that went there every summer. Since the advent of MF, WT, and TTD, I am on my third season pass and plan on visiting every summer. It's only a 4 hr drive from Buffalo, NY. Makes for a nice weekend trip!
My family has always went to Cedar Point. I remember my Grandmother telling me that way back when you had to buy tickets for the rides like at a carnival.
The year Gemini opened the "Grown-ups"(I was 8 or 9 at the time) came home with their wild story about that coaster. Apparently my Mother screamed so much climbing the lift hill that she was mostly passed out during the rest of the ride. During the helix my Aunt somehow clunked her head into my Uncle and gave him a bloody nose. My other Aunt lost one of her favorite gold earrings. I remember listening to their story and being shocked that such a torture device wasn't against the law. ;)
In 1979 my Aunt and Uncle took me on a trip to Cedar Point/Sea World. I was basically told that I was going with them to be my Aunt's ride partner because my Uncle would not ride the coasters after what I call "The Gemini Incident". My first coaster was "The Corkscrew" which absolutely scared the life out of me. I had my eyes closed tight for every second of the ride. The worst part was the horrible feeling I had knowing that our next ride was going to be Gemini, the one that "did my mom in". :) I rode it with her and remember thinking that the ride would never end. I did have my eyes open after the first drop though.
Our family always did the yearly visit to the park, and then it was trips with school and our youth group at church. I remember having to attend a midday church service upstairs from the big arcade. Gemini was the "Big Dawg" for all of my junior high and high school years. I recall hearing about construction on Magnum and how it's second hill was bigger than Gemini's first hill. We were just floored!
Millennium Force was basically the reason I bought my first season pass and now there's no turning back. I try to visit as many parks as possible but with CP just a few hours away, it will always be "home" for me.

I'm 15 and I've only started going yearly about three years ago and one hour at that park turned me into a coaster fanatic.

PLEASE CP, bring TTD's train themeing back!
Will ride cp&le r.r. over any coaster!

I have been going as long as I can remember. I am not sure of when the first time I went was, or how old.

What I do know, is that being from the Detroit area has its perks. I have been to the park about 10 times each for the past couple seasons. Before that it was once or twice a year in high school and my first years in college, once a year in jr. high and before that.

I started coming at the age of 6... that was 1974. My family would vacation there every year (from Mercer, PA.) We always camped at Camper Village. Boy has that changed a lot! Then in high school I went twice a year... once with a school trip or band and once with my family. Now that I live closer with my family, we decided to get season passes for the 2001 and have gotten them ever since! We've now experienced Breakers, Breakers Express, & Lighthouse Point, and we're raising more coaster fanatics!

Making Memories... Cedar Point!

First time was with a friend and his dad i was 12, rode only the C.C.M.R. and the A.R.

Then the next year i begged my mom to take me. We got on the Iron Dragon and conned her to get on the Gemini (she hated it).

when i was 15, i rode the B.S. and it was the first coaster i did with no hands. (like that was an accomplishment)

And after that, i've been there ever since. got a season pass in '95 and been a carrier of one since.

How many times do I have to ask you to please do not sit on the silver hand rails?

When my wife and I got married we had our honeymoon at SF Georgia. Shortly after that we saw CP on Discovery. We decided that was were we would go next, but by the time we saw this she was pregnant. That was in 2001. We went to CP for our 1st anniversary and fell in love with it. We returned in '03 for our 2nd and brought all the kids except the baby( I have 2 boys, she has 1 boy, and the new one). Unfortunatly we were married on June 1st and everyone remembers the trouble TTD was having then. We did get to ride it once.

This year we are going to make multiple trips. (a little over 850 miles).

We also plan to be there every June 1st for as long as we are able to.

Well growing up in north east Ohio, my mom took us a few times. I always wanted to ride the Jumbo Jet, but was never tall enough till the year they took it out. I remember when the Cork Screw went in and standing in the long line for it. I have since moved to North Carolina so I don't get up there much any more. I did make it last year to ride TDD. Now that CF owns Geauga Lake, I will probably try to make it back up there next year and try hitting both parks.

I remember my dad taking us to Geauga Lake for his company picnics. It's been over 25 years since I have been to Geauga Lake.
