How well is Joe Cool/ERT/Resort Time Enforced?

I like the buy one get one free at Gemini Games area. I tried to do that, and the game host told me I had to go someplace and use my Joe Cool Card to get a coupon and bring the coupon back. I don't even remember where he told me to go, because I just walked away in a huff.

Sorry if I was confusing. I meant that people who pay for the privilege of early entry (by either buying Joe Cool or paying a premium to stay in a CP resort) might not be too happy that people who haven't paid are getting early entry as well. The other reason I was speaking of in regards to JCC being the "Joe Fool Club" is the complaints I've heard about MF not being ready to go at 9. I've heard reports of it not being open on time and reports of it being open with one train for people and two trains of dummies, etc. And we all know that on any given day, Dragster might not open at all, let alone on time.

I wasn't saying I was expecting ALL rides to be open for JCC. I know that is not how things work. The rest of the rides need only be open by 10. And usually, they do a great job having many of them open before that. We always had Magnum up by 9:45 or 9:50 at the latest and earlier on Saturdays.

I think the best benefit left is the portable parking pass. They've taken away many of the decent discounts like a buck or two off Midway Market, etc.

I complained once about JCC. Top Thrill was supposed to be up for early entry, and was down. Magnum was replacing it but nobody told the Magnum crew. We got kicked out of the station because we "weren't supposed to be there yet."

Went over to Millennium Force, and they were running two trains. One of the trains was filled with water dummies.

Went over to Park Ops and complained "hey, we paid money for this and we didn't get on a ride till 10:30. What gives?" Exit passes for all. Yay!

Ok, I can see that you guys are right. When I went in early one time, Dragster was open (as was MF) and there were riders and people were being let in. Rather or not they were JCC members I wouldn’t know, which is where I can understand the frustration of true JCC members. I guess I just went on a good day.

And I take it, from what Jeff said, that the benefits were allot better than they are now. Although I don't know what they use to be I'll agree that the ones now aren’t all that good (except for a few). I'll still be getting JCC passes never the less.

Is it physically possible to actually CHECK all guests entering? I mean, it gets pretty hectic at 9:00 a.m.....

nevermind just checking for Joe Cool, ive entered through the Magnum entrance many times without even being checked for a pass! the past few years i had a Worlds of Fun pass, after telling the person at the turnstile, they would point me through the door to the right. inside, someone else would point at a sheet of paper for me to write my WOF pass number down, which i would do, then exit into the park, no one ever actually asked to see the pass, or a resort card, or anything. i only remember 1 out of probably 6 or 7 times that someone asked for the pass and wrote the number down themselves.

They usually only check during the busy season.

Keep that our secret!

I get JCC comped because we buy combo passes in the fall. If it weren't free, I'd only buy one so that my parking pass was portable. We've never used it for early entry in three years---if we're there early, it's because we slept on point the night before. Even if we're going cheap, we tend to pick Breakers Express over the other places. Prices are competitive and (unlike many other off-point dumps) the place is clean and in decent repair.

I do appreciate the restaurant discounts that we actually use from time to time. Especially the breakwater; comes in handy when at Lighthouse Point. But, I'd get those with only one JCC membership for our family of four, as well.

They manage to check everyone coming in for a ticket or a season pass.

I don't feel ripped off because I use my JCC to get 5 or more rides on maXair before 9:30 and then I get the first run out on WT as well. I don't bother With MF and TTD for early entry, because I get a FreeWay for Dragster and I'm willing to wait for MF. Thanks to JCC I have my 20 rides on maXair in just two trips to CP so far this year.

Three things you need to fix anything in the universe: duct tape, WD-40, and a hammer. Duct tape if it moves and it shouldn't, WD-40 if it doesn't move and should, and the hammer as the last resort.

I agree with the portable parking pass. I love the idea of taking any car and not paying to park. If it weren't for that I probably wouldn't bother if I had to pay. Like Brian, I bought combo pass in fall so JCC was free.

My days so far this year, the SC entrance is hit & miss.

I've always been surprised with the popularity of the portable parking pass. Different situation, I guess, but if the parking was on my season pass, then my wife and son couldn't go on their own without paying. I wouldn't want it anywhere but my vehicle, but I always take the same one.

I think some people just don't like stuff stuck on their cars. :) I'm one of them!

If your a resort geust, they can tell by what type of ticket you have I think. I say this because my first day I went in with one of the small colored tickets that came with a package and didn't get checked, then the next day I bought a normal ticket and they checked my resort ID thing. I don't know about JCC though.

I have no reason to stick it on my truck - it's just me that drives it. So I put it on my season pass so that I can always pull the 'hey you drive and I'll pay for parking' gag on any friends I might get to go down to Sandusky. :)

Different situation, I guess,

No one in our family gets to go without me, so it's not a problem for us. ;)
