How was your ride on Pipe Scream?

I'm not sure if I should've posted this in the new for 2014 or not so I just went here.

How was your ride on Pipe Scream to those of you who rode it? I wouldn't suspect it to be a rough ride but am I wrong? Many people, like myself, get sick on spinning rides so how much would I have to worry about that? My question is simple: How was your ride?

The ride is very smooth but a lot of fun. It has a nice ride action and packs a little bit of a punch. I can't comment on the nausea potential as spinning rides don't bother me.

I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks,
than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.

I liked it! :)

It's a very nice ride, not too short either. The length of the ride is pretty good.

It's spinny.

I'm very happy with it. My 6 year old likes it, too.
High capacity is a big plus!

I really liked it. The ride cycle is certainly a good length as you get 4? full length runs once you are up to speed. You also get just a small amount of alot of different forces thoughout the ride to keep it interesting. As of right now it is super smooth. All around it is a fun little ride. I can not comment on the nausea factor either though.

R.I.P. Mr. Scott

The spinning is a bit much for me but otherwise it's a neat little ride.

Just had my first go on it this weekend. 3 adults and 1 child loved it. I wouldn't wait too long for it, but it was open for ERT on Saturday morning with no wait. Rode it twice, once on each side, and pretty much agree with all the previous comments. Very smooth and a pretty fun ride.

I'd say the park has a success. All the kids on the ride I took went absolutely head over heels for it.

I liked it. I'm usually with you on the nausea on spinning rides, but I had no issues whatsoever. It went a little faster than what I was expecting which was a good thing. Overall, I'd say a good addition.

I agree. I went into it thinking it wasn't a ride that would interest me. But I enjoy it very much. I don't handling spinning rides real well but I can handle it. Runs the right length of time for me. Would not want to get off and get back on right away though.

It's a fine line with spinning rides for the individuals. Pipe Scream has a pretty wide radius and slowish rotation, so more people can handle it. Same with the Eagles, the arc is wide enough that it is less nausea-inducing. But then there are things like the Tilt-a-Whirl, where one day I was feeling great, so went on it with our youngest. I would have been fine with one cycle, but the ride op said "let's keep going" cause there was nobody in line. Holy crap, I wasn't 100% again for a couple hours after that.

I just got off and it was better than I expected. This ride will be in my regular rotation.

It seems we all love it but what do the kids think? For the users with kids here, are the kids that the ride is mainly aimed at enjoying it?

My 11 year old niece loved it. When we were in line the first time, she saw the whole (empty) queue and said, "why would anyone wait that long for this?!" But after actually riding it, I think she changed her mind. We rode it twice in a row for early entry and she really enjoyed it.

I think it's an excellent family ride! Id ride it every time i visit Cedar Point. The length of the ride caught me off guard. I did not expect it to be that long. Riding it at night is pretty neat also. Hanging over the beautifully lit Gemini Midway is a bit of a treat. Spinning rides do not bother me, but for the people it does bother, i caution you to be careful with this ride.

I started to get a little queasy on Pipe Scream, guess I'm getting old.

My boys liked Flying Eagles a lot. My oldest thought it was more fun than he expected it to be.

When I was there on Wednesday, someone threw up on it before I got on. They hosed the ride down then ran it to dry off.

It's definitely more thrilling if you ride it in the back.

I can't wait to see PipeScream's LED lights!
