How Much Money To Bring

Just a simple question: how much money should I bring that should last me fairly well through the first payday? Thanks in advance.

$100 will do you for food. If you need to buy stuff for your room (Which you will) then bring more. If you're gonna go to Louie's bring a LOT more. ;)

What are typical things people usually buy for their rooms?

Apparently, from what I've read, I'll be in Bayside this year.... what is typical?

For me, I thought of living at CP like moving to college. I brought an extra blanket incase it got cold at night. Maybe a TV, or mini-fridge. I can't remember if coffee makers are allowed or not. Just think of the basic things you would need. You are not going to be spending a whole lot of time in your room this summer. I know some people bring their stero, or DVD player, video games, stuff like that. If you live near CP, I'd wait to bring that kind of stuff. You never know who your roomates will be. I'm not saying that all CP employees are thieves, but sadly some are and you can't trust everyone.

Some small things you might want but could get once at CP. An egg-crate or soft pad for you bed. They aren't the most comfortable things to sleep on. Some cheap sandles for the shower, well if you are at bayside i guess ya'll clean your own place but ya never know.

yah, i second the egg crate thing. those beds are rough on your back.

If you aren't at the Point already--good luck getting into Bayside! I worked there for 3 summers and got into Bayside my 3rd summer...b/c I was there 4/4. It's tough to get in if you process in after opening....they usually keep them for Double Blues and Sups.......however, if you get lucky and a friend is there already..they can put you on the list! But give it a shot! Bayside was by far my favorite place to live...even though I moved 2 times in there before I found an apt..that I loved. 724 Bayside 2003!!!!

would around 40 dollars last a week? Im screwed if it doesn't Thats why Im working there, to get money because I am running out because of college. Thats the last of it.

ahh.. buy as little as possible, unless its cheap cheap food. Ramen is your friend.. It could be done, but good luck. Wait for your first paycheck to buy anything thats not food, and im serious about that.

Lol, I change that sum now, currently I have 24dollars. My brakes went out the other day, it sucked. I had my friend help me put new rotors and brake pads on it. I need to get over this guy that is my friend but he is so nice and soooo cute, Ive known him for 4yrs.
