How long does the application process take

I just requested the packet be sent to me. How long does the process take, and will I need to drive up to sandusky to get an interview before they will hire me? I'm currently in cincinatti (I hate this city). I used to live in cleveland, and went to cedar point at least weakly, so I do already know the layout of the park pretty well!

Personally I would've just filled out the online app... it would be a lot quicker that way. As for the interview, no you don't need to drive all the way up to Sandusky, they'll give you a call and do an interview over the phone. But since you're doing the packet application I don't know how much longer it's going to take because you have to figure in the time it takes them to send you the packet. The time it takes for you to fill it out and then send it back to them.. and for it to get back to them. Then they'll look it over... and if they're interested they'll give you a call. But i'd say give it atleast a week from today to expect to hear anything about an interview or anything like that. You'll probably get the packet in the mail tomorrow or the next day... Friday at the latest I would think. Good luck.

I agree, nothing could be easier than doing the application online. Fill that out and send it in; it should take you an hour at the most -- if you take the essay questions seriously. ^_~

You won't have to worry about driving to Sandusky for an interview. CP hires folks from all over the country -- and world -- for seasonal positions, so they don't expect all of them to be able to make it to the Point for a basic interview. You should hear from someone over the phone, and you'll have the interview right there, so prepare yourself to answer the phone politely and well-ready for an interview whenever it rings.

After the interview, you may be hired right on the spot or it may be a few days to a week until you find out. It isn't too long of a process, but it does involve some arduous waiting, especially if you're really excited about getting the job.

Get online buddy and complete the app.
Yea seriously! :) The one person I did know who filled out the paper app had all sorts of problems with it getting lost and stuff like that. I know they say for some jobs, it's better to submit on paper or in person, but it's not really true for CP. Good luck!

I had sent in a paper app in the morning, and ended up deciding to do an online app that night... I was hired the next day. So its definetly faster to do an online app
