Waited 3.5 hours to ride GateKeeper on Opening Day. Loved the ride, but from now on I wouldn't wait any longer than 45 minutes.
As a spoiled enthusiast, I probably wouldn't even wait a half an hour unless I had nothing else to do or was there with friends or family who hadn't ridden it yet. But, that's how I am with most rides at Cedar Point now. I go to so many events and slow days, I have no tolerance for lines at my home park anymore.

I got spoiled on media day by non-existent lines while most everyone was getting free breakfasts and lunches. Didn't wait more than 10 minutes and most of the 11 rides wait times was shortened by being called up as a single rider to fill a seat.As good as GateKeeper is,if the line is longer past the split point,I'll pass and head for MF or TTD where I WILL tolerate waiting in longer lines.

I change my mind. Ive ridden it nearly 50 times and i havent waited more than 15 mins (including front row). I wouldnt wait more than 30 mins for it.
P.s. the line moves incredibly fast so if 45 mins is the displayed wait time it usually is around 20-30 mins.
Very true about queue speed. I did calculate figures though and a full queue at normal pace is 2.5hrs roughly from time you get there to finishing the ride. I posted all of this in one of my trip reports will full interval info & stuff lol
