For the purpose of this topic let's pretend no one has any type early entry or special ride nights. If you were only going to go to the park once or twice this year and could not afford FL plus; how long would you be willing to wait before you said I will wait until next year to ride Gatekeeper.
I think FL plus is going to increase wait times for the regular line significantly. A four hour wait may not be out of the question on any given Saturday in July. As for myself, if I can't get there first thing in the morning, an hour and a half to two hours would be about my limit.
Anything over an hour and a half and I would simply leave it till last, and get in the line near park close. If I manage to get to the park this year, I'm riding Gatekeeper.

I'd say my limit on my first trip this season will be 3 or 3 1/2 hours. On the rest of my visits I will probably limit it to 2 hours. But that may change depending on how much I like it! The more I like it, the longer I'll be willing to wait.

It's funny, because I'm going opening day and I won't have FL, early entry, or any of that... I feel like some people may think this is crazy, but I don't care. I'd say I'd be willing to wait up to about 3 hours or 3 and a half. I don't think it would get worse than that (better hold my tongue/knock on wood here...) with 3 train operation and hopefully relatively speedy dispatches for the first day of operation.
Less than 7 days til May 11...
In 2000 I waited close to 4 Hrs on the MILLENNIUM FORCE. Then from 2000 - 2012 I will walk by it if it was 2 Hr wait. I will ride the MF 45m til 1 Hr.
This is a good question.
We have two kids, so we're parent-swappers. (one waits, the other gets right on after they ride).
I think we'd be willing to wait a couple hours, but I doubt it will be more than an hour next week (mid week). Maybe, but doubtful, as long as she's going full-steam with 3 trains.

Been a long time since I posted here. I'm going to the Point on Memorial Day week, which also includes my 30th birthday. But to answer the question, I'd be willing to go for a five hour wait. Though I'll be grabbing myself a Platinum Pass and will be staying in Hotel Breakers to grab myself an hour head start haha.
Never expect good things to happen. Pray for them.
In 2000 we waited nearly 4 hours for Millennium Force in the blistering heat and it was miserable but it was worth every minute. I dont know if id do the same for Gatekeeper especially if its available for early entry. 2 hours tops.
I'll be able to get in for early entry so HOPEFULLY the line won't be too crazy then. The max I will wait on opening day is 2 hours, so I probably won't be riding it. I will be back at the park on the 15th so hopefully the crowds won't be as crazy that day :D
I'm going for early entry, so with that the max I'd be willing to wait is 3 hours. After opening day, I'd be willing to wait 1.5-2 at most
It will be my last ride of the night on opening day. It will probably have a steady 3-4 hour wait throughout the day. Hopefully it's only an hour or two come closing time.

I'll wait however long. It doesn't matter to me much because I have rode everything else in the park. my guess is 1.5-2 hours.
I'd be willing to wait up to 4 hrs.
But ahh Platinum Pass so anything over an hour and I will pass. Love my weekday afternoons.
I was looking through the live feed and noticed that the wait time sign only went to 90 minutes. This does not seem like a lot in comparison to how long I have seen rides at and was just wondering why they had for such a short amount of time. Are they not expecting the line to be long or what?
