How is Housing?

I was just recently hired for a summer job and will need housing. I was wondering how the housing is and if anyone has any advice on which one I should attempt to live in, etc.

Housing is... housing. It's exactly what it implies, nothing more, nothing less. You have a bed, locker, dresser, that's about it. On the bright side, you probably won't be spending all that much time there.

My advice would be to live in Common Dorms, mainly because they are only 3-4 capacity and have air conditioning and they have lockers. Bayside is nice, but chances of getting into them are slim to none, unless you know someone who is processing in early in the season. Common Apartments, do not do it. It'll be a miserable experience, from having 14-16 roommates to having to share two bathrooms, and no air conditioning. Golds and Cedars, I really don't know from experience.

How many lockers are there in 1400's & 1500's? I'm trying to decide where to go?

Jake, where did you live for the last two years? 1400's have 3, 1500's have 3-4.

When do you process in?

I am currently scheduled to process in on May 10th which is the day before opening. However I found out my exams are over earlier than expected so I expect that date to be changed to either the 8th or 9th.

That's exciting! I'm processing in on the 4th of May this year and I'll be off the 6th-8th for finals and then back on the 9th for some cabin catching fun.

You should be fine with getting into commons though, I don't think they usually start to fill up until mid-June at least.

housing isn't that bad - unless you live in the commons apartments... horrible. just make sure you're clean, you keep your room clean and you have clean roommates - or else you will get bed bugs, and be sad. my roommates and I made our room so that it didn't look like jail - and so long as you shower right after they clean the bathrooms it isn't bad at all... lol, but yeah you won't be there much but to sleep anyhow!

The last two years, I have lived at Cedars. Thanks for the info.
