Well, it could be rainy all weekend and the crowds could be slim.
Or it could be 85 and partly cloudy with fairly heavy crowds getting in one last trip before fall.
The truthful answer is No one knows what the crowd will be like on a specific day.
Why does no one ever accept the answer as the answer?
Goodbye MrScott

Think of it this way:
If I tell you it will be busy, are you going to cancel your trip?
And if I tell you it won't be busy and it is, you'll call me a liar.
You're not the first one to ask the question. And you won't be the last one to question why we can't just tell you how busy it'll be.

Thanks for nothing smarta$$!

I'm headed there this Friday, I'm hoping the crowds stay fairly thin up until 4:00 p.m. or so. After that and for the rest of the weekend... who knows. If it turns out to be lower 70s and sunny (which is the forecast), it wouldn't shock me if it is slammed Friday night, Saturday, and Sunday.
Will be my last non-halloweekends day at the point this year... ALREADY?!?! :(
Maybe alwaysrocking didn't want an exact estimate of how many guests would be at the park, but just a guess from past experiences. Isn't that partly what this site is for? For "the general public" to beable to ask "regulars" questions to make their trip more enjoyable?
Does it really make you guys feel better about yourselves to come on Pointbuzz and belittle people? If I had been to CP Labor day before, I would have just told him what my past experiences dealing with crowd levels were...instead of making him feel like an a** for asking a simple question.
"You wanna, you gotta, you hafta hold on, Cedar Point...HOLD ON!"

And as anyone who has done any investing will tell you, past experience does not indicate future performance.
Hence - "No one knows what the crowd will be like on a specific day."
Which, based on other responses (one saying it could be busy, the other saying it might be dead), is still the most accurate anyone here can provide.
Just because you keep asking what color the sun is, doesn't mean you're going to get an answer other than "yellow".

The holiday weekend trend that I have seen is that Sunday is pretty busy, it essentially becomes a Saturday. And Monday is not a very heavy crowd, it becomes a Sunday. There will still be lines on Labor Day but certainly not like a middle of July day. The times we have gone on Labor Day have been good days.
I know - a lot of generalities and trends with no specifics but I have a hunch that is what you are after.
I've been on Labour Day twice in the past few years. The park had very light crowds and the weather was perfect both years. I suspect as the day goes on people start leaving too because they need to get to work and school and Tuesday. I will be there on Monday too and hoping for light crowds. I was also there yesterday and experienced the smallest crowds I've seen this season.
We'll miss you MrScott and Pete
