How do you operate 2 /more rides at one time?

I've seen some people's signatures saying that they have worked multiple roller coasters at CP. How is this possible/ how can you do this?

Ride host operate one ride at a time. The crews that have more than one ride (for example, Corkscrew / Super Himalya, Antique Cars / Wave Swinger) have a rotation where you go back and forth from one location to the next. Also, there will be days / weeks where you are not at your "home" location, where you will get moved to another ride location.

Yeah, they usually offer a chance to cross-train on a different ride in your same area midway through the summer. Personally, I'd rather stay on one ride the whole summer, and stay away from the circular rides.

It is also important to note that on any given day, you do "rotate" between various jobs on a ride. Take Magnum for example (I saw that you were on the crew). Different jobs on Magnum include: checking lapbars, checking lapbars while talking on the mic, crowd (checking to make sure everyone is the min. height), and controls (you have to pass visuals beforehand.). You will be at X assignment for 1/2 hour before you rotate to Y assignment. This rotation will continue until your break or until the end of your shift / the day. They have this rotation set up so you don't have to be at crowd (or with the mic) for 8+ hours a day. One thing you have to look for when your at crowd is shoes. Tennis shoes or flip flops with no heel (the one's you get from Old Navy 2 for $5) is totally fine, but a child cannot be wearing 2 + inch heals to meet the min height requirement. A ride host can actually ask the child to take off the shoe(s) to see if there tall enough without the shoe(s).

(Interesting note: Yes, I know I was never officially a ride host, but my off time is usually spent at the park, so I know a lot of ride host stuff that way.)

Last year, I was originally contracted to Millennium Force, worked a week at Iron Dragon, moved to Mantis and then worked Power Tower on Friday nights during Halloweekends. So just because you're contracted to a ride, doesn't mean that that's the only ride you're going to be working for the whole season.

when you change rides like that is it hard to learn how to run the new ride you switched to ?

No it is not hard. You go in an hour before the opening crew does and the TL or the ATL will train you on the ride
