How do you get to work on roller coasters?

I was wondering if in order to work on the roller coasters (the ones who check for seatbelts and lap bars) you had to wrok there for years and work your way up. Or is it something you simple sign up for, and anyone (including first year employees) can get.

And finally, do you get to pick the roller coaster you get (such as TTD, of MF) or do the assign you one (such as Woodstock Express or Wildcat)

Thanks in advance to any and all that can help!!

The requirements are being 18, asking for say TTD, MF ect. and even staffing. There is a chance that you will be moved to another location where few people showed up to work when you're on a ride that is overstaffed.

I honestly liked Wildcat more than MF and TTD. The reason is that the crew makes the ride, not the ride itself. Don't judge a ride before you work it.

Yeah but ... RIDE PHOTO IS WHERE ITS AT LOL. MAVERICK RULES!

Its not hard at all! I got my choice of Mean Streak and all. You can work at Cedar Point for your very first time and be a ride host. You can request a certain one but its not a for sure thing. They do a good job of giving you an option though.
