I finally understand that the 1300, 1400, and 1500 dorms are the same thing as the commons dorms.

Yes, they are the three different buildings that make up the Commons dorms. 1300 is all girls, 1400 is all guys, and 1500 is mixed with genders separated by floor. The 1500 building is a little bit newer than the other two, but usually fills up pretty fast, at least for the guys.

Me and a friend are coming and just want a room to ourselves. Is this possible? I see in a lot of places it says 2 to 3 people. Also whats up with housing in Breakers?

you can only house in Breakers if you work there.

Golds dorms are 2-person rooms

Commons Dorms are 3-4 person rooms depending on where you live.

I believe Cedars might have at least a few two person rooms, but I guess you'd have to confirm that with someone who has lived there.

Hi, it's gonna be my first season in Cedar Point. I've Got a question about the housing. My contract shows price $20-35/week for housing n im gonna work in Cedar Point, but my friend gonna work in Castaway Bay and his contrat shows $25/week. Is it same housing for employees working in cedar and castaway? Is it possible to live in same place?
thanks for reply:)

Do you know how much it costs to live in Breakers? Im working reservations and i signed up for housing at breakers, I have no idea how much they're charging me though.

I'll be living in the Breakers too. I asked the housing lady and she told me that since it's on point housing it should be no more than $20.00 a week like golds. She didn't sound 100% on that but that's what she told me anyways. I guess we'll find out when we get there! Haha. When do you process in? I'm a reservation clerk too! Should be a fun summer :)

Anyone can live with anyone, no matter the job. The curfew is midnight, and they don't allow staying over at other peoples rooms

Don't get caught and you're fine

I guess they get to see each other a lot, I don't know of anything besides work that would get in the way of socializing

Bayside and commons are by each other and golds and cedars are on point

Does that include the common dorms?

And what happens if your caught?

Also on cedar points site it says we take trips to chicago, new york etc...when does this take place and does it include castaway bay employees?

And do castaway bay employees get priority housing in bayside and commons no matter how late they arrive since they aren't located on the point?

Castaway bay employees are cedar point employees. They get the same things as every other employee.

Trips happen throughout the summer

If you get caught once cp police take your work Id and you have to meet with your manager, if you get caught twice you get evicted from housing

OK I am going to try to answer a few questions here so this may be a bit mis-jointed :)

Full time (Year Round) Castaway Bay Employees get first choice of housing in Bayside. Bayside is usually reserved for Full Time employees and supervisors or higher (some exceptions but not many). In 2005 I was refused when I asked to be placed in Bayside because I was not in those categories.

24 Hour visitation is no long permitted (it used to be), if you are found out they will first take your ID then you have to meet your manager to get it back. If it happens again they can evict you from housing, and possibly terminate you. Ohio is NOT a right to work state so they can terminate you at any time for any reason. So if you cause a problem, as in get verbal or physical with CP Police, then they can terminate you on the spot.

CP Police is one of the few departments that can terminate an employee that is not under their direct supervision. It still has to be approved by the employees manager but they can start the processes.

ESD (employee services division) trips are planned throughout the summer. If they get enough people signed up then they will go. Sometimes it's hard because most people only get 1 day a week off so finding a trip that matches that day is difficult. They also host ride nights, movie nights, and Big Bash for employees.

I really recommend going to Big Bash if you can! It's a lot of fun with free food and rides open. It usually takes place back in Frontier Town so Maverick is open. They also have a DJ and as I said plenty of free food.

A quick mention of Breakers, as stated above it's only for employees working in the hotel. But you are also expected to be on call 24/7 (that's why you get a room directly in the hotel) So if they need someone on short notice you may get called up to work. And they can use you for all the other resorts on point. Not saying you ever will, I only know of one person that has been called at weird times, but I know it does happen.

No 24 hour visitation....thats no fun. So they do check your room every night? Do they live right down the hall? If we have a car can we go other places past curfew?

Police don't come knocking on the door every night. If someone who does not live in housing is visiting they have to turn their ID in at the guard shack. Then if their ID is still there after midnight then they will come looking.
Also if you are crashing in a room where you are not supposed to be, your roommates may turn you in. If it happens once or twice you are probably ok, just don't make a habit of it :)

As an employee living in housing you can come and go as much as you want. Lots of people will close out Louie's then cross over at 2 or 3 am, as long as you don't make a disturbance then you are fine. Just again think of your roommates many of whom will have to work (probably early) the next day.

If the rules are too much for you, there are places in Sandusky that will rent short turn leases to CP employees.

That may be something you'll have to ask housing about since not many employees actually have housing in Breakers.

The odds are very slim

Is it true that you can't reserve a spot for someone in Bayside?
