So basically the first 1/2 a day you work you're paying to live in the dorms. Ouch.

Thanks for the list! One question though, what is your experience with the Internet connection? Is there wifi in any of the dorms, or do we need a cable?
Edit: What's the rec center like?

Regarding internet, you won't need a cable because there is nothing to plug it into. They don't have internet wired throughout the building. And the wifi is only decent in the lounge areas of the buildings, but it's a pretty weak signal and when a lot of people are using it, it can take a very long time to load a web page. I heard somewhere that they're improving the wifi in the dorms for this next season, but no one really knows how much improvement. Haha. Your best bet is to just go to McDonald's across the street or Clean Scene when doing laundry.

The rec center isn't a gym or anything like that. There's a Subway in there which is great, especially after a long day in the park and you don't really want to leave the dorms to find food. There are ping-pong tables, computers, a TV area, etc. This is also where you pick up mail.

Bayside apartments to not have AC?

I was in 1400 last year, and at the beginning the wi-fi was great. Nice clear signal right in my dorm room. Then, about the 3rd week I was out by the gate just as this guy was coming in with a router in his hands - he was there to fix the internet problem. From then on it was like theatc99 said; sketchy service at best and then only in the "lounge" areas - which were often packed. I'm guessing the guy must have worked for the gubmint...

Only Common dorms have Ac and trust, you're going to need it during the summer. I had mines blasting everyday.

Well, The apartments atleast, had it in the main living room when I lived in them in 2011. If you are lucky enough to be in the apartments closest to the living room, it will reach back there. But I found the easiest solution to keep a room cool is to just get a box fan and open the window. I'd still probably recommend the dorms, but the apartments arent so bad as long as you have people who arent totally gross in the bathrooms.

I was in the Commons Dorms (1500) last year, and from what I heard, almost all of the rooms had 4 beds, not 3. I know mine at least had 4 beds. This caused a LOT of problems when it came to storage space, as there are only three lockers. The best advice I can give is if you want into Commons Dorms, get there early and claim a locker.

Does anyone know if the other Commons Dorm building was like that?

I'm pretty sure all of the rooms on the "new" side of the 1500's have four beds; those are the rooms with the five digit room numbers. The rooms on the other side generally only have three beds, a bunk bed and a single.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the 1300's and 1400's both only have 3 capacity rooms.

The room I had in 1400's, there were 4 of us in there with 3 lockers.

I was in the old side of 1500's and in 1300's last year. In 1500's, I had four beds with three lockers. And in 1300's I had three beds with two lockers.

Are the lockers like locked closets? Is that where you keep all of your clothes and things?
