Housing Age

The Cedar Point site used to say that the age requirement was 18 or 17 and graduated from High School, and now it doesn't. Did this policy change?

I heard the 17 and graduated high school rule disappeared before last season. If it's no longer mentioned on the website, I would assume that means the policy did indeed change. You could always email the park to make sure.

yes you must now be 18.

Damn. Oh well, they don't want me, then I don't want them. ;) Maybe the 2011 season haha.

its not that they dont want you its that they dont want any issues to arise because of your age.

Oh yeah, I know. I was kidding. haha :)

what is the age range of employees living in the dorms?

18 to 70. For real, its about the wide of a range.

so i could live with someone my grandmas age?! :) that IS a pretty big range. how big are the dorms? like a small apartment or like college dorm?

I would say the average age group is roughly 18-25, but there are quite a few people who fall outside of (or even extremely outside of) that age range. The dorms aren't big at all. I'd guess the Commons dorms are maybe 10x20, but that's a rough guess. About enough room for 2 bunk beds against one wall, 3-4 lockers and maybe a desk or dresser against the other wall, and a path wide enough to walk through in between. It can be cramped, but most people are usually only in the rooms to sleep, so it's not too bad.

Last year people were talking about exceptions to the 17 year old rule. I don't know the whole story but apparently in certain circumstances they allowed these people to stay in dorms. It was no one I knew but I actually read it on here. I must have been lucky, because my dorm was pretty big. My locker was HUGE...but in general Commons rooms are tiny with everyone's stuff in it. Cedars are even smaller, and they smell gross. And yes, the possibility that you live with someone your grandma's age or someone that speaks ZERO english is a distinct possibility.
