Depends on what time you get there. If the person you want to live with arrives around the same time as you its possible, but if you process in at different times they'll randomly place you. You can switch rooms, its just not easy finding open ones til around august

I never said I was, nor was that my intention.
You will have plenty of opportunities to go to bars, go to parties, hang with and meet new friends that will last you a lifetime,...but insinuating that you don't want 'stupid team building exercises' or that it's 'wack' that your friends can't stay with you?? I would re-evaluate your purpose and intention for working at Cedar Point and make choices that best suit what will make you have a great Summer.
I have to agree with Ryan here. I certainly never meant to imply in my original post that if you like to party you won't last. I've certainly done my fair share of partying while working there. But some people place partying at a higher priority than working (which is the vibe I got from your post) and when that happens, it's pretty much a downward spiral.
As for the "team building" stuff, most of your out of work activities are likely to involve hanging out with your co-workers, regardless of what it is you actually do with them. The fact is that your co-workers will likely be your closest friends and family for the summer.
Sorry to intrude on another thread, but I have a question about housing and didnt want to clutter the board.
I keep hearing that the on-site dorms (golds and cedars) dont open until June. Is that right?
I have not been hired yet ( I have an interview next Saturday, though!!) so I dont know if/when I would be processing in. If I am hired, most likely May (when I get off of school). I'm not much of a night-life person, and no air condition does not bother me. (Lived with out AC my whole life.) So I would prefer to live on-site. Plus, its cheaper.
Typically the on-point dorms open shortly after Memorial Day, so late May or early June. They also close around Labor Day.
Assuming that finding a parking spot isn't an issue, you can get from Commons to a parking spot in 5 minutes or less. From there it's just a matter of however long it takes to walk to your time clock and work location.
I have a question about roommates. I have a friend that is processing in on May 9th, and I am processing in on May 16th. What would be the chances of us being able to room together, and if so what would we have to do. I think I read this in another forum, but I can't remember which one. Just let me know! Thanks :)
I believe most have about 4-5 showers, 6 toilets and approximately 6 sinks. I don't recall ever having to wait, but I never really had to worry about using them at peak hours due to my work hours. There were times I'd have to go to a different floor because the bathroom on my floor was closed for cleaning.
You should get the confirmation in an email along with an update on your Job Net site. When you get it you have to go onto the Job Net site and put in some personal information to allow them to do the background check.
From what I understand you will have more than one roommate no matter what. However you could have as few as a couple others. If you only want a couple roommates I suggest Commons Dorms. That's where I think most people want to be unless they have a large amount of friends they will be living with.
