there's usually a rule of thumb for housekeepers that they are NOT allowed to touch anything the guests leave. If they leave it behind it's usually thrown away or donated.

When I worked there housekeepers could accept tips but you'd have to wait until checkout day of the guest to make sure you weren't just taking loose change/money that they left on a nightstand our table during their stay.
I don't know how common it is to tip housekeeping staff in general these days but I still do it whenever I travel because I know what the job entails. In fact, if I'm staying at a resort for a nice vacation I will sometimes personally tip the housekeeper at the beginning of my stay (if I can find him/her) and that typically leads to a little more prompt service.

are housekeepers drug tested when processing in?? i don't use drugs, i just want the processing in to go by as quickly as possible, since my parents are dropping me off.
