Hotel Breakers

I am thinking of heading to Cedar Point in July and am considering Hotel breakers. We will be bringing my Mother-inl-law with us, so we need a good amount of room as we have 3 kids. Do I want the older section or newer so that we have good amount of room. Also whta is a Snoopy Suite?????? Is that something my kids will enjoy..ages 8,5, and almost 2.

Thanks

Newer section, definitely. If you want even more room, get a cabin LightHouse Point. The kids can sleep up in the loft, there's a separate bedroom and pull out couches as well.

I've never stayed in a Snoopy Suite, but they are decorated and geared towards kids, so it will probably be worth it for you.

I recommend the Breakers (newer section, tower or east). We have twin 3 year olds (one boy one girl), with how many times we are back and forth from the park and soak city to the room, the longer haul to lighthouse point would get old very fast. We experimented one trip with Sandcastle suites. Never again! We usually always exited and entered from the beach entrance and our breakers east room was pretty much right there. Now if you are familiar with that entrance/exit, imagine the extra long haul to the sandcastle or lighthouse point with 2 cranky tired hot kids, (and wife lol).

The snoopy suite does not have a balcony! It does have 3 queen beds vs the 2 queen and 1 sofa sleeper in the regular suites, the 3rd bed replaces the sofa sleeper. The room is a touch bigger than a regular suite, being that the balcony is part of the room now. I prefer the balcony, its nice to sit out there and enjoy the view and sounds of the park and lake etc., also to dry your wet clothes from the pool or soak city. It's not a fun experience putting on cold wet clothes to go back to the pool, let alone, extra cold with the A/C on!

The lake view suites are, i think, $30 or so more a night than the non-view suites. If your not picky about your view and want to save a few bucks, get the non-view, ask to not be on the first floor though, unless you don't mind having a walkout patio. I just always felt more secure with my kids not being on the first floor, where i can just leave the balcony door open and they can go in and out as the please.

I've stayed in Snoopy rooms before. They have a bit of a Snoopy/Peanuts decor like lamps and paintings. They also have a stuffed snoopy and a pail and shovel for the beach which you keep for yourself. You may be able to get more of those for a price. Ask about that when you call for reservations. The rooms are located on the second floor of the tower, so they are newer rooms. We've always had 2 queen beds in ours.
