Hotel Breakers - coming from Australia - buy entry ticket at HB or online??

Hi guys,

Well, I'm making quite the trek to Cedar Point.. I've been on this forum every now and then over the last few years with the intention of coming to CP , and in May I'm finally doing it.

I live in Australia, and will be in NYC with my wife in May, and I've decided to take the plunge and fly from NYC to Cedar Point (my wife is staying in NYC shopping :)

I've booked in at Hotel Breakers (I have a reservation) and flights etc into Cleveland on 20 May; I'll be arriving (by hirecar) from Cleveland Hopkins to Hotel Breakers at approx 11pm on evening of 20 May, with my Cedar Point day of fun to occur on 21 May. One day only, so want to make the most of it.

My question: I've booked my Hotel Breakers room, but not my ticket of entry into Cedar Point.

I've noticed it says to gain the '1 hour early entry' by staying at Hotel Breakers (ie, one the Point 'resorts') you should pre-book your entry ticket, but, coming all the way from Oz, I'm very nervous about booking online through the Cedar Point website direct and NOT getting the early entry pass. Given I only have one day, and limited time, I'd love to get this early entry if I could (9am.)

Do I have to buy my ticket at the Hotel Breakers desk (when I arrive tired at 11pm the night before my day at CP) to get the early access pass, or, can I get this by buying my ticket direct through the CP website (ie, emailed to me via e-ticket).

Sorry this is long-winded. Just wanted to clarify given I'm coming so far (with flights from NYC to Cleveland, entry, accommodation etc, let's just say it's damned pricey visit!) I just want to make sure I get everything right and not screw little details up, given I'll have from 10am-7pm only, one day, and that's it! I'm flying back to NYC late in the evening of my day at Cedar Point (21 May)...

Thanks guys!

The early entry is included with your hotel stay, regardless of where you buy your tickets. There is a slight discount when buying tickets at the hotel rather than online, so you are better off waiting until you get there to buy them.

Hi JuggaLotus,

Thanks for your reply.

I might wait until I arrive then.... although, I just hope that when I check in (which will be quite late - 11pm or thereabouts), is there any risk at all that I won't be able to buy a ticket that late from the desk??

I'm not so concerned about the cost factor.. given how limited my time is there, (I'm actually flying there from NYC so it's costing me a fortune anyway!!) If it doesn't matter where I buy my ticket to get the early entry, maybe to be safe, I might just buy my ticket online so I have something in my hot little hand all ready to go when I arrive late the night before! I'd hate to possibly get to the desk at 11pm the night before my day at CP and for some strange reason not be able to get a ticket!

Thanks for clarifying though JuggaLotus.. I really appreciate it! Saves me a phone call o/seas :)

The person at the desk when you check in is the same person that you will get the tickets from. Just tell them that you need a ticket and they will get it for you with your early entry pass. The staff at all Cedar Point properties is very helpful. They will acomadate all your needs. Just tell them what you want and they will try to get it.

Hi Dan,

Thanks heaps for your reply.. another helpful fact there. Ididn't realise that I had to physically get an early entry 'pass'; Ithought I might just have to show my Hotel reservation at the CedarPoint entry or something :) Silly me... It's so hard to know allthis from all the way over here in Oz!

Thanks again for filling me in.

When you check in, you will get a "resort id card" as part of your check-in. This is what you will show at the gate for early entry. Its nothing more than a piece of card-stock with the words "Resort ID" and some legalese printed on it.
