Hot In Line or Not....Hmmmmmm

I beg to differ. I've passed out at CP before, and not because I wasn't drinking enough.
Some people just can't handle standing in long lines in the heat and humidity.

Humidity makes it better, If it was dry...You would pass out alot faster. Dry heat is horrible to handle.

I used to be a Myst fan. But now I find the game to be quite boring. I just don't see how installing a bunch of geeks will keep anyone cool. ;)

I'd much rather handle a dry heat of 95' in NE Ohio than a sticky 85% humidity 95'. At least in a dry heat, you can SWEAT! The worst I've ever seen it at CP was 7/5 of '99. The temperature was easily in the upper 90s, the humidity was off the charts, and with all the cement and blacktop reflecting the heat back up, it's no wonder my husband got sick by 5 PM that afternoon.

The mist fans in Magnum's line are by far the best, You get a ton more water shot at you than in MF's and WT's line.

I agree that Raptor's line is by far the hottest. You have no shade at all except when the line passes under the ride, and that happens very little. I really hope CP puts something in the Raptor line, isnt it the only "big" ride that dosnt have shade or fans in the line?

I agree that I believe the magnum mist fans are the best and I vote for the raptor line as the hottest line to wait in. It gets really unbearable when you're off to the side near the Blue Streak near those yellow and black walls. There is no shade in that location and it's pretty much you versus the sun for a little while. I hate getting stuck in that location.

Oh i couldn't agree more Raptor Rider! and if its a full line, it takes about 15-20 mins to get through that part of the desert they call the Raptor Line.
I was there last year when the temp was 98 degrees and the humidity was off the map. It was a Sunday and I was looking forward to a day of waiting forever on each ride. When I got there around 10am, I got to park up in the first rows in the parking lot by Demon Drop.. Interesting to note, That in my 21 years of going to the point, I never once parked in the front rows at that time in the morning. (Maybe people knew it was going to be hot and humid that day?) Anyways, WT was no wait. Raptor only 5 minutes. MF 3 Hours... I was standing in that line for 3 hours and the temp rose to 98 degrees. The cooling fans do not work if the wind blows the mist away from you. Anyways, When got to the loading station I almost passed out. (What really p'ed me off was that CP sells bottle water for $2.50 and CP gets upset that you bring bottle water into the park.)

I think that the line for Mantis is much more miserable than Raptor's. Magnum's line has one mist fan that is rarely used due to its placement. That one should be moved to Mantis, or at least some location where it can be enjoyed.

I'm currently being ripped on in two threads (this one and this one) on CBuzz for one typo I made over there. I take it in stride. It's the internet, it's not real life.

I agree.

Second of all they need to have some new type of system for cooling people down. I know... they could have the "famous Cedar Fair" tents, and line them with misters. So where ever you go, you can be cooled and shaded. And you wouldn't have to worry about smoke with the misters going they won't be able to. Trees would be good too, but I don't think CP wants to block the view of the lagoon, or maybe they would so you people won't throw harmful things at the fish.

No, I didn't. It is true you shouldn't give people comments in the forums, you should e-mail them instead. It is a waist of bandwidth.

If they ever build an Intamin river plunge (perilous plunge), the problem will be fixed with constant rain (literally) in the queue and mist from the ride going up to 100 feet away.
I bet TTD will cast a bit of a shadow on the queue

No it won't. You'll be southwest of the queue. In the morning the shadow will go into Camp Snoopy and during the afternoon there practically won't be any. In the late afternoon it will be over towards Magnum XL-200.
