Hot In Line or Not....Hmmmmmm

I really hope they'll have something to block out the sun when you're standing in line for TTD. If they don't they'll have a lot of people suffering from heat exhaustion & sunburn. It could get pretty umbearable. I know you have some shade waiting for MF, but, really none while waiting for Magnum. I assume they will, but, just curious if anybody knows for sure.
Well I'm guessing that they will have those "tents" or what ever there called over the queue like on MF and WT. The reason they probaly are not in the artist drawing is because they wanted to show the people in the queue.

Yeah, when you happen to be by one of the in line. Otherwise, you're burning up on those hot humid days. There needs to be someting to keep the sun off you during those days. Those tents provide the shade to keep you from looking like a lobster. I believe MF has both tents & fans.

While you're at it, you can "wear" it too!

The only thing worse than people who make grammar mistakes are the people who have to point it out every ****ing time.

You know its REALLY annoying when you do that, Nobody is perfect. So people make mistakes. We dont need you to point out each and every one of them.

Back on topic, I certainly hope they install myst fans in the queues. Every little bit helps the heat go away :)

The mist fans seem to work well on a hot day. CP does not want guests passing out from heat stroke!
I would assume since the entire area will be open, that both tents and mysters (misters?) will be installed. Hopefully trees will be planted so in the future there will be some additional shade.

I agree that sunblock or no, it's still awfully hot standing in line in the sun.

You can still pass out from heat stroke whether or not you wear sunblock. I also really hope that the queue is covered at least partially. I know that if it is completely covered our view of the launch and ascending the tower while in line will not be as good, but at the same time there is potential for you to be in line for several hours. I'd rather not wither away in the sun.

I hope that they plant trees as well OldCPer. The ones by Magnum are great now, and they started off as little sapplings. Tents work, but they are not so fun to stand under when the smoke from people's "addiction" billows under them and you are forced to smell it for hours at a time.

I agree that I'd much rather stand in Magnum's tree shaded line than under a tent shaded line at MF or PT. There's an old postcard somewhere that shows how small the trees were around Magnum's queue back in the early days. They have grown up a lot in 14 years of operation! :)

The tents are nice, but I think the trees are a much better choice. They provide the shade and are a lot nicer to look at than those tents are. I always find Raptor's line to be the hotest (probably because it's covered with steel) but I see the most people pass out in Magnum's line. I'm not really sure why.

Funny thing is, Smoking isn't allowed in lines. (of course that doesn't mean people will follow the rules).
If they have some sort of shade and the misting fans I think it will be fine....Oh, and don't forget those wonderful $3 pop machines. :)

Trees would be great. Nice to look at , keep you cool. I would rather have tents than misters (sp?) or have both misting fans alone make a hot day much worse. Water attracts the sun and you fry more.

Cedar Point is closed for the season. Reason? Freezin!

I wish they would move the tents from Mean Streak to the Magnum line. The tents for Mean Streak have not been used in years!!!

The sad fact is: people who pass out from heat stroke or heat exhaustion bring it on themselves, they drink either just pop and no water at all, or just don't keep themselves properly hydrated, the park is not at fault at all for stupid mistakes made by guests..

Yeah...I know how that feels. My first trip to CP, I didn't drink enough! I didn't pass out...I threw up!
