I am just really curious to know what was the record for the most people CP had in the park in one day last year? Jeff, do you or anybody else know?

"Sir, Shouldn't You Buckle Up First?"
"Aaahhh BUCKLE THIS! LUDICROUS SPEED, GO!!!!!"-Spaceballs
Well...this was QUITE a while ago, but when I worked there my first summer in 1986, they had a peak day of 60,000+ on the Saturday before Memorial Day. I think we also hit that on one of the Saturdays in August in '89, Magnum's first summer...seems SO long ago!
This may not seem like a lot, but I work at Islands of Adventure now and our park is only capable of holding about 30,000 guests.

CP Live Shows 1986-90, 2000!!
The IDORA Wildcat FOREVER!!
My 5 summers there from 90-94, it all varys. In 91 and 94, the summers of meanstreak and raptor, I can tell you they reached far more than 60,000. I can bet you this summer will be another record breaker for CP! You will see that the parking will be non existant!! Like years in the past. Good Luck if you are working there this summer, trust me you will need it.

30, 000...??? Wow, that seems like an easy day. I guess I figured the capacity would be higher. I had a job offer at IOA in the Park Services Department, but decided to stay at Cedar Point. The park is beautiful...sometimes I think about what I might be doing now if I had taken the job, but when I see the guests on the midway and remember everything I love about this place.. I know I made the right decision. Chris... where did you work? My first summer was in 1990 and I was a seasonal employee until 1995... As for our attendance this year... plan on some long lines at MF. BUT... it is WELL worth the wait.. and what a view!!!
And just remember, when the line is long and you are hot and thirsty, stop into CJ's Provisions (or the stand previoulsy known as the Candy Factory) for a bottled pop, water, or nice cold soft serve cone!!!!
(Sorry, just felt the need for a quick plug!) :)

And when you are taking the kiddies to Camp Snoopy, stop by Camp Snoopy Refreshments and say hi to me and get a large refreshing Mountain Dew!

I've read reports from Park Employees of 70,000+ in August. It wouldn't suprise me.
