The rumors were true ;)

I noticed the listing of the new attraction on the signboard that was up this past Sunday by the "gently used coffin" truck/jeep. I'm intrigued, but I think I'm going to restrict my Halloweekends visits to "with-kids" this year...

Sounds interesting -- I'll have to check it out.

Ooh! Earlier this season there were rumors that they were going to drain the water out of thunder canyon and do a walkthrough themed attraction in there for Halloweekends. This should be interesting :)

Holloweekends has always been the best time at the park, and this will just make it better. I also noticed that they say the Fright Zone has been expanded for this year...anybody know if this is a big change or what?

Did anyone else notice this? On CP's main calender page - as noted months ago - it shows Halloweekend Fridays operating 6PM-11PM:

http://www.cedarpoint.com/public/trips/operate.cfm

However, on the new Halloweekend page, the hours listed are the old 6PM-Midnight:

Hmmm. As to which is correct, I guess I'll hope for the latter, but assume the former.

I'd bet on an unfixed typo from last year's pages.

I feel a little special seeing how I've known about the new canyon attraction since last April. From how it was described to me, it should be really cool. I love Halloweekends, although they are a little depressing since they signal the end of the season. Oh well, there are two months left before that happens.

Who the Millennium Force ride ops made a special announcement for when he took his 100th ride on 8/12/03.

So for this new attraction, is it a walk through Thunder Canyon?

Ralph Wiggum is my Cedar Point hero!

Brian - yeah, that's what I figure too, except it's kinda a weird thing to overlook, seeing as they had to go through and change all the dates from last year.

I guess if I really cared I'd call, but for now I'd just rather waste my time on mindless speculation. Doesn't really matter to me in the end, as I'm going either way ...

Do they run Thunder Canyon in the day then?Where Does Tunnel of Toxic Terror take place?

I've never been to Holo-weekends what makes in diffrent from any other park?

No, all of the water will be drained out and theming will be in the canal so that'd be a bit on the difficult side.

TwisterII, Toxic Tunnel of Terror is in the front of the park next to the beer garden. its the place by the picnic benches that has all the warehouse-looking siding on it.

Nobody has really answered this, is this a walk through thing or are we going to move on something or what? i dont know why you'd have to be 54'' to walk through it.

I am going this year for the first time and it looks like a lot of fun! Can someone who has seen the shows/attractions (not coasters) do a "Not to be missed" and "Skip it" list? I'll have kids ages 8-14 in my group. I'll start the thread...

Thanks!

Perhaps it is very scary and the heigth restriction is to keep young children out, however it would suck for "small people."
