I think the height will be 48''. Because if you think about it, people were probably saying the same thing about magnum. (i was to young to remember). Like...."OH MY GOD! 205'! 72 MPH!! I THINK THEY SHOULD HAVE A HIGH HEIGHT REQ."....My prediction is 48''.

It won't be 48". Trust me.

I predict the height requirement will be 52inches.....
OK, I've had enough of reading this. I've worked at Cedar Point the past 3 seasons - Power Tower in 98, Gemini in 99, Campus Ambassador at U of Akron, and Millennium Force Crew 2000. I've been to the christmas party where EVERYTHING was unveiled, I know management, and you can bet that the requirement WILL NOT BE 48"! The requirement will be 52, 54 or possibly even 60 inches. I'll bet you the bank they will not place it at 48". This is what was going around on December 18, I'm sure they have picked a requirement by now
See... I don't make this stuff up.

PTC98JB, I am inclined to agree with everything you say except the very last clause. I'm almost willing to bet that the requirement has not been finalized yet, and won't be until the ride operates. Which shouldn't be too much longer now......

Yep... what Dave said. That's what my understanding is from People Who Know(tm).

Just making my point: Don't be suprised to see it at 60 inches. I'd be more suprised to see it at 48". It will likely be either 52, 54 56 and possibly 60. They will probaby choose something next month or a little after whenever the preliminary runs are.
NOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!! that would suck if it were 60" because im not tall enough

I don't think SOME of you realize just how tall 48" is. That's only 4 ft. tall. That's very short! Along with other people I really can't see the requirement being 48" for the simple reason (other than the height and speed) that the lap bar doesn't come down on the lap but comes more forward into the stomach. I could be wrong but that seems like it would be significant for someone who is very short.
Hey MFreak, are you seriously under 5 ft. tall? If so I feel bad for you if it is 60"!:)
I'm only 5 foot 1 so I'm hoping it's not 60 too, you know how embarrassing it would be to be measured for a roller coaster?????? lol

A 5-1 hockey player? Interesting. Seriously though, Natalie, you worked on Mine Ride, isn't there some kind of rule regarding height and responsible riders? I thought I've seen "little people" on coasters before, provided they can safely be restrained. Obviously Raptor and Mantis would be exempt from that rule.

Yes, I am the shortest one on the team. And no, I'm not a "little person" lol hehehehe. Just a normal vertically challenged Italian girl.
As for them....I believe that they have to go to Park Operations and sign something for us to be able to let them on the rides. I don't believe we encountered any last year on Mine Ride while I was there, but we never measured any of the Special Access people so I don't know. I have a Rider Safety guide from last year floating around here somewhere, maybe I'll look for it later and check it out after classes.

Hey Jeff, I believe all CP height restrictions are for MINORS only. I believe our vertically challenged adults can ride. I think it would be cool to see MF be 60" height requirement, my wife is only 61" and I would laugh to see her "measured"!!(she was never able to ride the Jumbo Jet because by the time she reached five feet, it was gone!)
I know one thing, I just hope there is leg room!! I am 6 foot 3, and on certian coasters, I have a hard time riding without suffering severe knee pain. Ohwell, most of the time its worth it!

Man. 60 is tall if u ask me. Not that I have any problem being that tall but the only other ride in the park with that restriction is the one that goes upside down with no seat belts. (Witches Wheel). It think 54's plenty but then again it's not my roller coaster, park, or franchise to decide that is it?
...And you *don't* have to be 60" tall to ride the Witches Wheel. You must be at least 60" tall OR at least 48" tall and accompanied by a responsible person who is at least 60" tall. So technically the most restrictive height requirement in the park right now is 54".
BTW: I believe the official Huss requirement on the Enterprise is that riders be fourteen years old or at least eight years old and accompanied by a parent. The 60" height requirement makes it so that the operators don't have to check ID. :)
