What do you all think?
First rollback=opening weekend '09
We could have used a couple of those at the Red Cross Mini Golf event on Wednesday!
Besides the Red Cross, who won Walt?
Shoot the rapids, tame and dry. Thunder Canyon, wet and laughter. Snake River Falls, soaked and smiling. White Water Landing and the old shoot the rapids, Fun and missed.
Has anyone tried one of these before? I think I heard of them being at other parks (maybe one of the Six Flags?) while reading Coasterbuzz.
Also, how long does it take to dry a person and how does it work? I wonder if one is enough.
If these work well, maybe ridership on Snake River Falls and Thunder Canyon will pick up a little.
Now all they need to do is add a water storage tower to Thunder Canyon so they can filter and and chlorine or bromine to the water. This dryer may make you smell like fried perch after that ride.
I saw one of those dryers at King's Island this year next to their Thunder Canyon. To be honest, the people walked out of it still soaked and soggy. But, maybe it works better than it looks...
Kings Island got one of these this year. They placed it right next to our equivalent of Thunder Canyon.
I have not personally used it but it looked like it worked pretty well and it seemed to be in use almost every time I walked by.

Hoping to one day build these great machines that we affectionatly call "Coasters"

Other than "not us," I'm not sure. It was a shortened event because of the rain.
They also have them at Dollywood near their new family water ride. No idea how they workl it was December.
Promoter of fog.
How much does it cost? Can I pay in Pepsi?
It seems like the Cedar Point Pepsi is stronger than the U.S. dollar...
Now here's the question: with this new dryer... can we assume that Snake River Falls WILL be staying? I mean no one knows for sure, but still... kinda makes you wonder. :)
I think Dollywood was one of the first, and I know Six Flags Great America got one or two to compliment their new water ride this year. I'm curious to know how effective they really are.

$5 for 3.5 minutes at Kings Island. No clue how it worked (seemed to half-dry the only kid I saw using it... and by half I mean his top, and not his bottom.) It did give me the funniest moment of the weekend, though, as I saw a bunch of managers and execs standing around it in a semicircle scrutinizing it with looks on their faces that seemed to say, "What is this thing that we just bought?"
Looks like a farce. It can't dry underwear or socks or shoes. Those are the three things I hate to have wet in the first place. Shorts and shirts get dried during the day as you ride coasters.
Yeah I'd say Millennium Force, Magnum, Dragster or any of the other rides would be more effective. Not to mention free.
We'll miss you MrScott and Pete
