hey, i am just wondering that have anyone here use to work as an game host or going to be work at this position? just want to know that what we have to do in this job ? and how many hour that we have to work for? thx all ur guy ^^
Well, I haven't actually worked in a game but I'm the office clerk for the games department so I know a lot of what goes on. A lot of people have lots of fun in games, especially if they are outgoing. Some people complain all the time, but you'll have people like that everywhere. It's a small department so everyone gets really close and the managers are great too.
As far as working in the games, most of them are working by yourself in one of the house games and you will just try and get people to play the games and take their money. Some games use a microphone so if you like to talk to people you can try and get one of those. They are usually race games or three point challenge. Hours kind of vary throughout the season. The shifts are usually 9:30-2 and 2-close and some games have splits (like scales). If you are a hard worker you'll most likely get the 2-close shifts since they are longer and you'll get more hours. There are times in the season though when games gets really overstaffed with internationals and people beg for hours, but there are other times when there are lots of hours to go around. Just show you're a hard worker and you'll get lots of hours.
Games is a great atmosphere and I love it. Let me know if you have any other questions!

i am a kind of outgoing lol and for sure that i will work hard :P anyway i am not so sure that my accent will be good enough or not lol
so i just want to know that how many game in cedar point? and i will be always at the same game all of the season? and when the first day that i process in, u will pick a game job for me or i can pick it by myself ? and i need to learn how to explain it to a customer or not? hmm i think this is all i want to know for now ^^ and thank u very much ( i feel a bit nervous because this is will be my fist time that i go oversea !)
Apichai.
Don't worry about your accent. There were plenty of internationals who could barely speak any english at all and they did just fine.
There are around 42 (I think) games throughout the park plus 3 arcades. The managers will put you in an area and you will mostly stay within that area. The park is divided into 3 areas for games so you'll either be in the front at areas 1 or 2 or in the back which is area 3. At each game there is a sign with the instructions but you'll be fine answering questions. The games aren't that difficult to figure out.
The internationals seem to have tons of fun though and I enjoy getting to meet all of you. And you shouldn't have a problem saving money and traveling. I know a lot of people who did that.
