Have a few questions about CP...

Hi, i'm new here! I'm making my second trip to Cedar Point ever, tommorow, and friday! I have a few questions to ask you guys.

I normally visit Kings Island when I go to an amusement park. I have a souvenier cup from Kings Island that I bought last year, and I was wandering that since KI is now owned by CF if I could get away wih using a souvenier cup from Kings Island at Cedar Point to get the refill discount?

Since Cedar Point opens at 10am, i was wandering if they open the gates at 9, then the rides at 10, or if they just open everything at 10?

Also I would like to know where you guys go to eat to get the best bang for your buck. Where do you eat thats cheap, gives you alot of food, but the food still tastes good?

All help is appreciated Thanks

I would guess that souvenir cups are park specific, so you wouldn't be able to use a KI cup at CP.

If you have a Platinum Pass, you can get in at 9am. The rides that areopen at 9am, are Raptor, Millennium Force, Iron Dragon, Maverick andPeanuts Playground. Everything else is scheduled to open at 10am.

Best food choice? Famous Dave's!

thanks! I don't have a platinum pass, so I guess I'll just have to wait to get in until 10! I figured that it would probably be a "no" on the cups, but I figured it'd be worth a try! Does anyone know how much the cups at CP cost, and how much the discount refills are?

^^If you have a Platinum Pass, there's UNLIMITED (yes...no limit!!) drinks for only $6.99 all day long with no cups or anything to continuously schlep around!! (it's a wristband that you buy)

Have fun at Cedar Point! Make sure you come back and give us a trip report. :)

"You wanna, you gotta, you hafta hold on, Cedar Point...HOLD ON!"

Thanks! I will! The last time I went, I was still too short to ride raptor, mantis, and all the other 54 inch rides! So this trip should be AWESOME! Thanks for the help.

Enjoy the point. Wish i could go :(

Panda Express also has good food and there not as expensive as other places. You get alot for your money. Its not far from MF. :)

Thanks for all of the info guys...I just have one more quick question. We were thinking of bringing in a small drawstring type backpack to hold our phones,keys,cameras,etc....I know we have to get a locker when we ride TTD & MF, but on all of the other rides do they have bins or anything where we can put these? We want to carry it with us all day so we can take pictures and everything and not go walking back & forth constantly to a locker. Do they have bins or boxes like at KI where you can leave a bag while you are riding? We weren't sure because last time we went a few years ago I know we couldn't take ANYTHING (and all we had with us was a souvenir cup) on Wicked Twister & Demon Drop. Is it still like this or did they change it? I appreciate all the feedback! We will be leaving in about 6 hours!! Can't wait!

I know wicked twister, maverick, magnum, mean streak, raptor, gemini have benches/boxes to put stuff. I think iron dragon and mantis do as well, cant remember, my boyfriend has velcro pockets for stuff like that, so i havent had to use them. I believe the main reason MF and Dragster dont have boxes right there and you have to use lockers is that you unload in a different area then you get on the ride, so you wouldnt be able to actually get to your stuff. :)

Yeahhh check that Panda out.

You get a ton of food thats for sure. They just pile it on the plate.

Or if you want a $9.59 bacon cheeseburger with fries and unlimited drink refills for like $2.50 a drink. Go to TGI Fridays.
