Has anybody had the same issues at Kings Island?

As a FIRST POST!!!!!11!! this reeks of blatant hater fanboyism (with a ridiculous user name even) and is not interesting at all. I spent all of opening weekend at KI and I've never seen them as on their game as they were.

Lol I wasn't smelling the restraints, you could smell them just sitting there. This was at 9:45 on Saturday morning when the park opened. I've seen cp staff hose down the trains every time I'm at the park in the morning before running them, it was obvious, for Vortex anyhow, this wasn't done.

I'm not a hater, nor a fanboy. I'm a fan of rollercoasters and amusement parks just like you Jeff. And who cares what my user name is? That's irrelevant. Good for you and everyone else here who has had great experiences at KI, I'll chalk it up as a bad first trip. I'll visit again as I did enjoy Banshee, Diamondback, and The Beast. Just wasn't impressed with the guest experience.

We are about to camp and visit Kings Island over the course of 5 days. This isn't the first, nor will it be the last time for us. We've had issues over the years, but nothing to go and post on a forum about.

So a ride op was "sleeping" at Backlot? What, were they blinking too excessive for you? Isn't your job as a patron to enjoy the park instead of nitpicking someone else's job? Would you like it if someone came along and complained about your mediocre life that you felt it necessary to create an account proclaiming your love of something that doesn't matter to 99.99999999999999999999999999999999999% of the world?

Do you need a hug or something?

Yeah, chalk it up to a bad visit. Or maybe your saddle on your high horse is a little too high.

Even if that second ride op was asleep, what difference does it make? Was the ride op asleep? Feeling ill or light-headed? You got to ride the ride with no delay.

I was almost rejected to use my parent swap by one employee because I had already rode that ride earlier in the day until another op came by and said I could.

You "almost" got rejected once, and you think you got "rolled eyes" every other time you used it. So? You still got to enjoy the benefit of the parent swap.

I've been a platinum pass holder since they have offered it so I don't believe I should need a fast pass...

Why not? Why should you get a benefit you haven't paid for?

If I was asleep at my job, I would be fired as would 99% of the public. Maybe you have a job where you can do what you want, if you even work that is.

Hey noggin, would you like it if every time you went to the store to buy something, the clerk rolled their eyes at you for using a coupon? That's about how I felt with the parent swap. That kind of thing ruins a day and makes it hard to enjoy the park. And yes even the others around me were getting annoyed by how many fast lane guests were allowed through over regular paying guests. Regulars I talked to said it was getting bad recently.

Perhaps this story would be better told over at Kings Island Central?

CPUntilDeath, frankly, I just don't believe all the employees were rolling their eyes at you. And, really, even if they were -- you were getting a special, free, perk not available to me. I don't have a lot of sympathy for the imagined slights you received while enjoying a special privilege.

If people don't like seeing Fast Lane holders enjoying the privileged access they paid for, they can a) buy Fast Lane or b) stop patronizing the park.

The only "proof" anyone has that the employee was asleep at Backlot is your description. Maybe that employee was asleep. Maybe that employee was ill. Maybe that employee put their head down for one minute. Whatever the case may be, if that second employee was even there, it didn't affect your experience.

A special free perk? Lol Are you a kid or something?

Actually @ Noggin..FL, FL+ has had problems this year in regards to that, it has been mostly corrected but it still does happen. Saw a one cycle wait for DB, loaded the station full of FL and noone else. it's ridiculous but it does happen, not always, but it does. Best thing to do is talk w/ the sup on the ride and resolve the issue or talk to Guest Services in a GR.

All I can say is I've had great experiences at two of the former Paramount parks, Kings Island and Canada's Wonderland. I find the original story very hard to believe as I've experienced nothing remotely close to that.

I still can't get over the smelling of the restraints... Not sure why you put your nose close enough to definitively say that it was the restraints you were smelling. :-/

Ok obviously most people here are immature and obviously all high schoolers. A bunch of nerds who sit on pointbuzz all day, acting like keyboard gangsters. Here's a thought for you haters, go get laid! Maybe get jobs or like that djdaemon guy says repeatedly, go outside and enjoy the rest of your summer kids.
